Works great in 2002 Tahoe Z71
This fan fit properly in my 2002 Tahoe Z71 5.3l Flex Fuel. The fan cage looked to be the same size as the original factory unit. I also replaced the blower motor resistor with GM part # 22807122. I purchased both from Amazon. The old parts were 20-year old factory originals with 190K miles on the Tahoe. The old fan started becoming very noisy and squealy on occasion. It would also not blow any air on the lowest setting (1). The new fan fits and runs great and the system is once again blowing air on the lowest setting. The new blower motor resistor had to be installed in the reverse orientation of the old one. Others mention this in reviews of the 22807122 part. It's no big deal, but something to be aware of to eliminate confusion.

Easy fit and replacement
Get in truck, hit the AC controls since it's 34 degrees outside and...no air. Not on any setting.I'd known the blower had been on its way out, and had this already bookmarked. Ordered it, reviewed the YT video install instructions again, and when it showed up, it was maybe a 20 minute replacement. Old blower bearings are pretty much seized, the new one slotted right in.Turn on the truck, AC kicks right on and everything is working far better. I have air again! This was a direct drop in for the original blower on a 2001 Chevy Silverado and was super easy to replace. Hopefully never have to do it again before the truck dies, but if it does, I'll try to get another one of these.

Works great - didn't quite fit like the OEM - but I made it work.
The OEM fan motor in my 2001 Silverado had been making squeaking/squealing noises for many years. I finally decided it was time to replace it. I purchased this unit based on reviews and it was listed as being compatible with my truck. The installation was more difficult that I thought it would be - this is not the fault of the fan , but the GM engineers that designed the under dash bits that must be removed to get to the fan. There are weird sized hex screws used (5/32 and 7/32) to get to the fan and a couple of them are in very difficult areas to access. My truck also had an extra acoustic cover below the fan (that other vehicles don't seem to have) that I had to remove and leave off as this replacement fan base was a bit taller than the OEM one. Not putting the acoustic cover back on did not make any difference to how loud the fan was. Actually putting the fan in (twist lock) as the easiest part. I watched a youtube on how to do it.The new fan is working well - volume of air it is pushing seems to be the same as the OEM fan at the various fan speeds. This fan is no louder than the OEM fan. This fan is 1/3 the price of a new OEM fan.I'm very pleased that this fan is working so well and I won't be missing the squeaking noises the old fan made.

Low Cost OEM Quality Blower
I replaced the worn-out blower motor assembly in my 2001 Silverado with this TYC unit. It kept blowing out the resistor module due to the high amperage that my old motor was drawing at lower speeds. The new one works great. I have more air coming out at all five speeds and I spent less than half the money to replace it compared to buying an OEM one. This blower motor works great and it even has a direct connection for the motor cabling. There is no pig-tale connector like the original motor.

Rattles
I did not like this TYC blower because it makes a rattling sound at low rpm. I did not like the GM Genuine blower either, because that one was terribly out of balance and really wobbly. My favorite one is the Continental blower unit which was nicely balanced and quiet, and also has an enclosed motor housing (TYC and Continental are enclosed, and GM Genuine is exposed to rust).

Works great with low to no noises
Best price for the blower motor. Install was quick and easy on my 05 Escalade. 6 minutes just to find out it wasn’t my blower motor that was gone but the connections to the controller under the dash next to the blower motor area. Tightened up the connection and been great ever since!

Did not fit for me
Blower motor did not fit. The tabs seem not not be in the correct location. Fell out 3 times. I went and bought another one from a local auto parts store. I would not recommend this
