I can say with confidence that when people have a poor experience with this stuff it's because they're not understanding how slowly it works. It needs heat to jumpstart the enzyme and reapplying heat periodically helps At work. But it is chewing in slow motion through blockage and it can take a full week to clear out a mainline sewer drain that is clogged with paper and human waste and some animal grease. If you have someplace you can go for several days and you want to try this you absolutely should. I have a basement drain and it's where my washer hooks up so I have access to hot water from a spigot that I can run directly into the drain. I poured the jug right in there having figured out using a plumbing guide where the blockage likely was so that I could run hot water upstream and then pour in the jug. Then I went away for six days. You could use compost toilet or porta potty for 6 days too. But it needs a long time to do the job. Think if you were asking bleach to eat a hole in fabric it will definitely do it but it takes hours. If you have a blockage that is several inches thick it's going to take that kind of time and more so. I went back mid week and ran more hot water down the pipe to jumpstart the enzymes again because they work much faster in a warmer but not boiling temperature. It's not Drano so if you're looking for that kind of speed you will think you've poured a jug of water down there and wasted your money. But if you can wait a long time you will be amazed because it cleared a clog for me that kept reappearing after it was roto rooted. I think a bunch of leaves had gotten in the basement stairwell drain and crumbled up over the course of the winter so the crumbled mulch also went into the sewer drain and I think that was the killer that finally plugged it up entirely. That this enzyme could clear that is pretty amazing.

I tried using liquid fire, drano, the dollar tree brand, and even liquid lightning. Green Gobbler helped the most by unclogging the line. The dollar tree brand didn’t do anything. While the Drano caused tissue to come up a little bit. The liquid fire opened up the drain a little bit and liquid lighting did the same not much but caused a slow drain. It was Green Gobbler main line that caused the unclogging. I followed the instructions to flush the whole bottle down the toilet and then left the Green Gobbler in the line for 6 hours then I flushed and heard the clog get sucked out it was loud. I am very happy with my purchase I tried contacting 8 different plumbers and couldn’t get ahold of any so I was desperate. Green Gobbler did the job when I couldn’t find a plumber (which is crazy that I couldnt find one). I have nothing but good things to say about this product and this brand. If I ever have anymore problems I will be purchasing Green Gobbler products to deal with them!

I used the Green Gobbler Ultimate Main Drain Opener to clean out our two kitchen sinks with garbage disposal AND the kitchen sink with garbage disposal in our Guest /Sausage Kitchen/Winery/Canning House. We use our kitchen sinks and garbage disposals daily and have been dumping grease, fat, oils and other things down the disposals we should not have. Over the years lots of grease, cooking trash, ground meat/casings and fermentation have been going down our two kitchen sink/disposals in the house and in the guest house. I noticed a back up in the Guest House kitchen sink/disposal after the last batch of Landjaegers and a lag in draining on the sink/dishwasher line. I did a Google Gemini AI search on the best/recommended way to clean these lines out. We are on a septic system and I did not want to damage this biome or the plumbing or the garbage disposal. The recommendation came back to use the Green Gobbler Ultimate Drain Opener with references on safety to use on a septic system, garbage disposal and best practice use instructions. It worked - required an over night dosage and time line. Not the 30 minutes as indicated on the label. Therefore a 4 star review. Just use this product as directed and let it sit OVERNIGHT in your drain pipes. The longer time line matters! A 1-2 second spin of this product in the garbage disposal helps to distribute the product and clean the inside of the disposal. In the morning run some hot water to flush your system. Follow this with a water flush for a few minutes and your pipes are clean from years of misuse and abuse like we did. I plan to use this product for ongoing maintenance of the kitchen sink/disposal pipes. Highly recommended when using the over night time line and hot water flush method.

I used it on very sluggish bathroom sink drain that clogs every couple years from soap, toothpaste and hair buildup when snaking alone won't work. It works, but takes time. Use 1 qt with sinkfull of hot water and let it sit at least half a day. I used hot water from the tub so as not to have to run the water in the sink. Then I snaled the drain and it improved a little, then used the remaning quart and let it sit until the morning of the next day followed by another snaking, and the drain was clear. Price was a little expensive but worth it. Don't use caustic cleaners on metal pipes as those will destroy the pipe. I'm going to treat it monthly with Green Gobbler enzyme treatment to keep it clear.

I wasn’t impressed overall. It didn’t stink and eventually worked but it seemed to take a long time and multiple treatments. I’ll stick with the big names next time.

It's hard to get 5 stars from me. This earned it. One application of this stuff worked where multiple applications Of Drano failed. Simply pour the directed amount into the clogged or slow drain, let it sit overnight to do its thing, and rinse with water as hot as your tap will produce for a few minutes. Be sure to immediately wipe up any excess as it is caustic and can damage to finished surfaces. This is my new go-to drain clog clearer product. Love that it's odorless. I'm going to also purchase their enzyme cleaner for long-term maintenance. Highly recommended.

All my neighbors have been having to get their mainlines replaced. To say that is expensive is an absolute understatement. I use this once every six weeks and IT WORKS BIGTIME! Use it and be prepared to be very pleasantly surprised. We had someone come and look at our drains and they could not believe how clean our drains are! When a professional says "Yeah, you are good!" it says something!

First of all, you have to know that my husband & I are senior citizens that live on a limited income. So we don't have money to hire a plumber when we have a problem with the pipes. And both of us are handicap, with my husband having open heart surgery recently. Just wanted you to know why I was really hoping that this drainage opener would work for us. We have 2 bathrooms in my house, one on each end of the house. The bathroom that I call my bathroom was the one that gave us trouble. When I flushed it, the water did not go all the way down. I tried it several times with no luck. Then I plunged and plunged it with no luck. So I got here on Amazon looking for something that might unstop my toilet. This product had the best reviews and also sounded as if it would be easy for me to use. I was so excited to get it. Well I did as the instructions suggested. I poured the whole container down the toilet and let it sit for 24 hours. After 24 hours I boiled some water on the stove and poured it into the toilet and flushed. Still no luck. So several more times I boiled water and tried to flush it down the toilet. Then my husband told me that my tub was probably part of the problem because the toilet & the tub drain were connected together. So I got back on Amazon and ordered another container. This time when I got it I poured some down the tub drain and the rest down the toilet. Again I waited 24 hours, boiled water, poured it down the toilet and down the tub drain. Toilet still would not flush. I plunged both the toilet and the tube drain and still no luck. So next I came back here and ordered two more containers. One container for the toilet and one for the tub drainage. Once again I waited 24 hours, poured boiled water down both the toilet and the tub drain--and plunged and plunged with no results. For hours after that I kept pouring boiled water down the toilet and down the tub drain. By then I was crying because I had no idea what we were going to do because we just did not have the money to pay a plumber. I also have a medical problem that makes me a prisoner of my bathroom so it was almost a medical necessity for me to have the use of my bathroom. Finally a friend of mine had her husband to come over and crawl under our house and take the pipe apart that went to my bathroom. My husband could not do this because of his heart condition. What he found was a wad of toilet tissue plugging up the pipe. Now I have never put anything down my toilet but toilet paper so that made sense about what he found. I just don't understand why this drainage opener did not work after all the good reviews that I found and with all the bottles of it bought. If this had worked, I would have ordered some to keep for a maintenance dose--using one about every 2 months. I am so disappointed.

So the block we had was going to be potentially problematic but wanted to give this a try. Unfortunately the blockage didn’t shift we have to rethink the plan. However this doesn’t mean the product doesn’t work I have still got faith in it ..... the company could not have been better when we spoke they were amazing and offered solutions and gave me a full refund as I wasn’t 100% satisfied, could you really ask for anything else. I will for sure use the green gobbler again for other clogs and blocks and recommend always. Thank you

Really got excited with this product.. had a clog for the past 6-8 months .. Tried many ways and finally this. Applied overnite, tried a flush in the morning but was not satisfied. But after a couple of hours, to our surprise the clog got removed completly..

Ho provato il Green Gobbler Ultima già per un bidet dove l'acqua ha impiegato secoli a passare, ha lasciato il prodotto per 24 ore e poi risciacquato con acqua calda: è andato via come un sogno! Inoltre: anche il bagno sembra essere sullo stesso tubo perché anche lì l'acqua è andata velocemente alla doccia successiva! Grande! Adesso farò tutte le altre in cui l'acqua non è defluita bene. Tried the Green Gobbler Ultima already for a bidet where the water took for ages to go, left the product for 24 hours and than rinsed with hot water: it went away like a dream! What's more: also the bath seems to be on the same tubing as there also the water went quickly at the next shower! Great! I am now going to do all others where the water did not flow away well. Luckily I ordered 2 bottles at once!
