Proper math
Answering this as someone posted a 1 star review that doesn’t know basic math nor appears to have ordered the product at all - so a troll. The description shows and says up to 4 plates on each side of the dumbbell. 2 dumbbells x 8 plates per (4 per end) = 16 total plates. The package comes with maximum weight combo of 8 x 6.6 lbs and 8 x 4.4 lbs = the 16 plates (product also comes with other smaller weight plates). Each dumbbell will have 4 x 6.6 lbs (2 per side/end, 4 ends for both dumbbells uses all 8 plates) and 4 x 4.4 lbs (2 per side / end, 4 ends is all 8 of these plates). Per dumbbell is 26.4 lbs (4 x 6.6) + 17.6 lbs (4 x 4.4) = 44 lbs each dumbbell or 88lbs total with both dumbbells. This doesn’t include the dumbbell bar weight itself which is listed at 2 lbs. I hope this helps

Fitness Savior!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This set is fantastic. With COVID19 shutting down all the gyms in the area, I was desperate to get a good workout in at home. There weren't many options, and I took a gamble here - at the time of purchase this set had only one or two reviews. When everything arrived I was a bit concerned about a few details, but everything works as advertised! You've heard that the screw design for adding/removing weight takes a lot of time, if you've read other reviews. While this is true, I must say - they are VERY secure. When I'm adding on alot of weight this is what I use. However, sometimes you need to go lighter, and have only a few plates. In this situation, screwing on the lock is tedious and can really slow down the workout. BUT - the seller introduced me to these really convenient buckles - they snap on in a second and hold the weight secure. A simple search of "dumbbell buckle" will get you these on Amazon, just make sure they're 1" .Another thing to be conscious of - if you order the 88lbs set the dumbbell bar is LONG. At 21.3 inches, it does fit a total of 4 plates - but be aware that these will be a bit clunky for some workouts. Brilliant for a flat or incline bench. The smaller handle at 17.3 inches fits 3 and is much closer to what you'd expect from a dumbbell. Thankfully the seller was kind enough to send these handles as well - making a PERFECT set for what they are.I was a bit disappointed that the grip becomes too wide on the "barbell" setup when there are plates on both sides of the handles. If you order the 88lbs set just be aware that you can only comfortably fit 8 plates with the barbell or you'll be dealing with a VERY wide grip. The foam material in the middle is unfortunately not a good grip, but a padding. So you'll be gripping the dumbbell handles. With the provided plates, this makes the barbell max out at 24kgs (8x 3kgs ~ 53lbs)I really couldn't be happier with this setup. It's made working out during these very interesting and hard times possible. And it helps that the seller is committed to making sure you are satisfied with the purchase. Responded helpfully with every message I sent. Worth the long shipping times 100% - mine arrived in just over a month (I live in California). The packaging was secure and organized. And the seller even included a free set of workout gloves. That was a nice surprise.

Good for home gym
As advertised. Takes time to add or remove weight due to screw design and length, but the bar and weights are pretty standard. Weights fit on other bars as well, plus plates that I already have fit on this bar as well. Not great for heavy bench/deadlift/squat, but not designed for that. Great product for the price.NOTE: Seller contacted me about screw design for adding/removing weight. Provided buckles to make it faster/easier. Very appreciative :-)

Good quality. Tedious process removing weights.
Overall pleased. Not the best for bench press but that is not what I bought it for. Lots of variation and my other weights fit the rods. I do wish taking weights on/off was easier. Although the screw system is secure it takes a long time and I have experienced hand cramping. This makes it hard to share if you have to switch weights every session.

There are no brakes on the gains train
This product wasn't just everything I wanted. It was everything I needed. I was just looking for a set of dumbbells, but the fact that you can combine them into a barbell blew me away. Especially in a time where many gyms are shut down, this is a blessing and worth every penny. There were some problems with the shipment originally (to be expected during a global pandemic), but the seller was awesome and very communicative. Thank you so much for this awesome experience!!

Trash
These dumbbells are trash. I can’t believe there are so many good reviews. First off, it takes 20 minutes and an excessive amount of effort to put on and take off the nuts that hold the weights on. Secondly the dumbbell nuts were broken upon arrival.

Almost impossible to use both dumbbells at the same time
The items that were described were all included in this package. My issue with this weight set is that the bars on the dumbbells are so wide that it is almost impossible to use both dumbbells at the same time. I believe that this stems from the weights not being very dense and so the dumbbells have to be very wide to accommodate three weights on either side.

Awful lot of money for some plastic and sand
So I realize home exercise equipment is priced high, but after using this product it did not seem a good value at all for $340. Yes, it's versatile, you can use the main bar or use barbells. Weight is reasonable (in kg, it's chinese). Screwing things on and off seems to take forever--and it's plastic. Sturdy plastic, but come on. If not for the lack of options out there right now, I'd return it. Upside, this is functional, but figure a better price point for this would be $150-200.
