SLS NUB MOD® for Level III Holsters

I've been using a Nub Mod on my 6360 level 3 holster for my Beretta 92 - and I just bought another for my new M&P 9 duty pistol. If you suffer from stubby thumbs like I do, you need a Nub Mod. If you don't hit the ALS lever every time, especially when stress is induced via timer or scenario training - you NEED a Nub Mod. Its literally one of the very, very few bolt-on devices that is an instant performance improvement. It will make you SAFER, it will make you FASTER, and your draws will be BETTER and more consistent. There is no reason NOT to run a Nub Mod. If you're one of the people that doesn't need it, or you actually don't like it - it takes 60 seconds to remove, and you'l no doubt sell it for almost what you paid for it - or give it to a friend who will love it.I might sound cheesy, but the Nub Mod seriously made my draws faster, better, more consistent which means that if I need to draw my gun in a real life or death situation, I'll be safer, as will those I am protecting.

Good quality. Took a bit to wiggle into place but snapped right in place. Easy and fast install. Makes the draw much faster and smooth when working under pressure. No hick-ups. Personally, I feel it makes you more vulnerable should a weapon retention situation occur, since the safety is so much easier to hit from any angle. But the product is amazing.

This holster mod is ingenious! I purchased the SLS Mod after using the ALS Mod for one of my ALS only holsters for a few years. I absolutely love it. The increased surface area it gives the ALS knub makes for a quicker draw speed in comparison to an unmodified holster. I definitely recommend adding one to your holsters!

Increase functionality greatly

Honestly, Safarilands should've always came standard with this. Getting your thumb even slightly wet in the weather or slightly pulling up your gun up in the holster (think bad habits) before pushing the tab down resulted in you're gun wasn't coming out or the button didn't get pushed all the way back due to thumb slippage. This nub absolutely eliminates that.Downside? People wanting to disarm you have to guess a little less searching for the stock tiny button on how to get the gun out of a safariland holster.Another con; and I completely understand engineering, development and R&D, but this didn't take rocket science. It's a slide over 1/4 inch piece of metal with a screw and a generic washer. The price really is quite inflated for this.Overall though, it is absolutely worth getting with 0 regrets or flaws I've seen so far.

Great little product. Easy to install and use.

This fixed my biggest complaint about my safariland duty holster with the thumb release being too small and easy to miss while trying to draw quickly/under stress. It feels sturdy, was easy to install, it provides a nice large surface for your thumb, and it vastly improved my draw speed from the holster. I'm recommending this to all of my co-workers with these holster models.
