Ancestral origins explained through DNA science
With the completion of the Human Genome Project in 2000, DNA science has supplied a startling reassessment of our roots and deep ancestry. The author has explained how homo sapiens migrated into the Indian subcontinent through historical documents, archaeological evidence, and modern genetics. The migrants admixed and produced a multitude of ethnic groups in the subcontinent. By employing yDNA haplogroups and the Phylogenetic Tree of mankind, the author has shown that the ancestors of the ethnic group of the Jats originated from at least six different geographical areas of this planet. The author has professionally researched and brilliantly presented the material.

there is no reason why we cannot have better understanding of our origins and migrations
Being from the Jat ancestry I have been looking for a book that would provide a scientific context in addition to the historic perspective in terms of the origins of Jats. This in light of the DNA analysis available to us, there is no reason why we cannot have better understanding of our origins and migrations. Upon spending over seventy dollars with Ancestory website, all I got was that I am of the Asian descent. Well I could have told that to myself and save my money. My message is that when it comes to the genealogy of groups such as Jats, a more precise explanation of their lineage can be deduced with latest research. This is what David Mahal has done for me. Many peoples over centuries mixed and merged and morphed into new clans and communities with a variety of languages, cultures etc. Genetically, there is more in common among the peoples in India/Asia than the differences. It is the beginning of a richer understanding among people. Well done Mr Mahal.

Good one as being first
Offers different perspective than offered by other books on the roots. Good one as being the first one, hopefully others will dig more.
