4 x OSRAM Classic Eco Superstar 42W (=55W) Golf Ball SES E14 Halogen Energy Saving Light Bulbs, Small Edison Screw Cap, Dimmable Lamps, 625 Lumen, Mains 240V

They’re lightbulbs.. they light up.. can’t ask for more really. I thought initially they didn’t work, however after some investigation I realised someone had unplugged the lamp from the wall.. turns out didn’t need to buy these at all as the previous bulb was still fine after all... at least now I have plenty spare....

The eight flimsy cardboard boxes in which each bulb was contained were sent in a jiffy bag which was not that substantial.If any other parcel had been dropped on the bag in transit it would have broken the glass bulbs. Luckily Royal Mail had handled them well - other courier companies are not so careful.I checked all the bulbs and they appeared to be sound.Quite astoundingly these bulbs are not made in China - wow!

These bulbs were a disgrace. I thought Osram were better. Halogen bulbs are supposed to last for years, which is why they cost more than incandescent bulbs. However one of these bulbs lasted a day, another lasted 2 days, another lasted a week and the 4th lasted 3 weeks. Complete waste of money.

Waste of money - and time, all 4 went pop within a year. I question whether these are genuine Osram bulbs? Osram are a reputable brand so the bulbs failing in such a short time frame makes no sense in a lamp which had very little use (an hour a day max).

The bulbs arrived promptly and were well packed so thank you to the supplier but the first bulb I tried didn't work though it was apparently perfect. I am relieved to say the others do work and give the variable degrees of illumination that I was seeking. At least when I tested them. You might need to buy more than you strictly need to be on the safe side I fear.

These bulbs arrived quickly and are certainly value for money. I can't comment on longevity just yet but so far happy with my purchase and would buy again rather than hunt around in the shops.

4 bulbs and only 1 works. Glass came out of one box because the bulb had a hole (see pic) and the other 2 are defective. Can't recommend.

I returned these bulbs as they were not dimable as stated
