The Second Horror (99 Fear Street Book 2)

Is my childhood favorite books to read. I use to read them all quickly. I use to think they were so scary. They are still good stories

Once again I really, really enjoyed this book. It is scary and the story line and characters are excellent. I really would recommend this for anyone to read.

My daughter had grown out of the Goosebumps books so I got her started on the Fear Street books. This was one of my favorites when I was a teen, so I got them for her and she is loving them!

This book happens about a year after the first.There are several reasons I prefer The Second Horror to The First, including prose. The main character is more flawed than Cally, which made him more interesting to me. He also has a secret about himself that is too dramatic to spoil. Although the body count is low, the oppressive atmosphere keeps the adrenaline flowing, and you get a few satisfying answers to the questions left in the first book.The only real complaint I have is the way Stine describes the main character's feelings towards a trio of girls (the guy is a chick magnet). It's always, "she looks awesome," or even "she's really awesome" after a kiss. Find something to say about your romantic pursuits other than 'awesome,' Brandt!Time to finish the trilogy. The Third Horror, here I come!

Excellent book. Didn't expect the ending at all. Felt sorry for Cally though and her little brother. Brought back alot of teenage memories I use to read these books all the time in my youth. My first introduction to horror.
