Can't wait till he figures it out completely. It's well made. Update: my son is now two and although he still loves getting on and off and riding it, he really has grown out of it as he has to take such short strides to get it going now. Today he was popping stuff on it's seat and trying to ride around on it tho, and cried when I wouldn't let him take it out of the house as we had an errand to run. But this was such a brilliant purchase. Once he figured out how to ride it he was scooting around the house and the wheels are so silent and speedy. It has stood up to him throwing it down stairs brilliantly. It has not marked walls and doorways that we can tell. It taught him how to reverse correctly too (you know when you need to turn and reverse but you need to turn the handles in a counter intuitive way, well he got that). It is not an outside bike though (but that is not a deal breaker and I would still buy again as it has been great to have as an indoor toy). The times we've tried it outside the wheels just dig in and it flips. Great for flat indoor floor surfaces. Review: Great Toy! - Great and safe toy for our granddaughter. She loves it. ## Features - RUBBERIZED WHEELS: The push bike’s four wheels are rubberized to protect your floors and ensure that the wheels last longer while your little one scoots around - MOTOR SKILLS DEVELOPMENT: Perfect for kids beginning to test their mobility and develop active motor skills - IMPROVES STRENGTH: Short rides develop muscle strength as well as balance - SAFE TO PLAY WITH: Durable and child safe, contains water-based paint and has non-toxic finishes - AWARD WINNING: The winner of the 2013 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award and the 2013 Parent's Choice Recommended Award ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00BHEEHP2 | | Age Range Description | 12+ Months | | Best Sellers Rank | #74,867 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #101 in Kids' Push Ride-Ons | | Brand Name | Hape | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,600 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00885103689051, 06943478006997, 16943478006994 | | Included Components | Scoot Car and Assembly Tool | | Item Dimensions | 15.08 x 12.8 x 5.94 inches | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 18.1"L x 4"W x 14.2"H | | Item Type Name | Hape Scoot Around Ride On Wood Bike | Award Winning Four Wheeled Wooden Push Balance Bike Toy for Toddlers with Rubberized Wheels, Brig | | Item Weight | 8 ounces | | Manufacturer | Hape | | Manufacturer Part Number | E0101 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Guaranteed against manufacturer defects | | Manufacturer recommended age | 12 months - 5 years | | Material Type | Wood, Metal, PP, EVA, ABS, Water based paint | | Model Number | E0101 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Size | L: 20.5, W: 12.8, H: 15.1 inch | | Sub Brand | (-) | | Subject Character | (-) | | Theme | Sport | | UPC | 885103689051 885117056146 520361560109 751195347196 | ## Product Details - **Bike Type:** Balance Bike - **Age Range (Description):** 12+ Months - **Brand:** Hape - **Number of Speeds:** 1 - **Color:** Green - **Wheel Size:** 5.75 Inches - **Suspension Type:** Rigid - **Special Feature:** Chainless - **Included Components:** Scoot Car and Assembly Tool - **Size:** L: 20.5, W: 12.8, H: 15.1 inch ## Images ![Hape Scoot Around Ride On Wood Bike | Award Winning Four Wheeled Wooden Push Balance Bike Toy for Toddlers with Rubberized Wheels, Bright Green - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61l4g1h5lHL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Pattern, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What are the exact dimensions?** A: It’s small enough for one year old. About 14 inches on the seat. **Q: I ordered this as a gift and there is a missing part. Who do i contact for that?** A: Mine has a missing part too, very annoying. The bolts holding the seat to the base did not have anything to screw into. I improvised but Amazon (the named seller) should have been more careful. **Q: Does the steering handle turn the wheels or are the wheels stationary?** A: The steering handle turns the front wheels. BTW. My grandson at 18 months was too small for it. Now he's 20 months and rides it around the apartment all day. **Q: Are the wheels natural rubber latex (my child is allergic) or synthetic?** A: Thank you for your email In regards to the Scoot-Around. The wheels are made of EVA Plastic. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loved it! Would buy again! *by H***A on September 12, 2014* 1yo seems to love so far and is happy getting on and off. She loves it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely adorable and cute! *by M***N on December 30, 2018* My 2 year old absolutely loved this for Christmas. Super easy to put together and it’s ready to role in no time. Crafted and detailed very good and the color is just too cute. No complaints but I will say I wish it was a little taller as my toddler is very tall for a two year old and she’ll probably be grown out of it half way through the year. But we have plans to display it in her room later so either way it’s cool. Great buy for the price too. ## Frequently Bought Together - Hape Scoot Around Ride On Wood Bike | Award Winning Four Wheeled Wooden Push Balance Bike Toy for Toddlers with Rubberized Wheels, Bright Green - Hape Pound & Tap Bench with Slide Out Xylophone - Award Winning Durable Wooden Musical Pounding Toy for Toddlers - Hape Walk-A-Long Snail Pull Toy |Award Winning Toddler Wooden Push and Pull Toy with Removable Color --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/1965589-hape-scoot-around-ride-on-wood-bike-award-winning-four](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/1965589-hape-scoot-around-ride-on-wood-bike-award-winning-four) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
