Sienna Sketch box

I love this so much. It's my favorite art tool. I can throw everything I need in it and carry it around. I use printer paper to do my sketches so, it fits nicely in the little slot and doesn't fall out.

I use this sketch box everyday and I love it! It is well built, with a very smooth work-surface, and it is a convenient size for my work -- I usually work on 6"x8" and 9"x12" mixed media or watercolor paper. I have been using 140 lb. paper and the clip holds it securely. The paper storage slot is particularly handy. The natural finish is not as flashy as the Sienna All-In-One Pochade Box (which is exquisite!), but for me that is better as I am not overly protective of it like I am with the pochade box. The sketch box arrived quickly and was well packaged.

Good sketch box. Matches the description. I would give it five stars except the pencils slide in the tray and break the points. I added a piece of foam at the end of each tray and solved the problem.

As much wrong with this box as right. 1. Shop around. I got one for half this price including shipping. 2. You'll probably want to make some alterations, so if you're not into woodworking, forget it. Interior compartments are not sized for anything but pencils and loose sheets of paper. If you want to carry a sketchbook you'll have to make changes. 3. Clipboard clip is impractical, weak spring won't hold paper firmly in place. Needs to be replaced with a better one. (mine was mounted crooked, too.)On the plus side: 1. It's a good idea. 2. The wood is nice. 3. Except the clip, it's well built.I have other Craftech Sienna equipment - pochade box, tripod, backpack, wet canvas carrier boxes, supply box - I like it all. This sketch box seems a notch or two below all of their other stuff.As a footnote: Guerrilla Painter gear is not as elegant in design as the Craftech, but it does the job and is generally sturdier and better built. Usually it's available on Amazon Prime at very good prices.
