11x17 Archival Parchment Motivational Desiderata Poem by Max Ehrmann

I’ve lived my life by this poem as best I could, and my kids wanted copies of it that look like the one they’ve grown up with, so I bought these for them. They’re so nice BUT the notation at the bottom about this poem being found in an old church is not correct although widely believed so I told the seller and I cut that off. I’m not perpetuating an incorrect myth; Desiderata was written by Max Ehrmann. We are so blessed to have the ability to do our own firsthand research of reliable, credible, accurate sources so please feel encouraged to verify what I said here! Enjoy!

Of course this is a beautiful poem. It is printed well on good paper, looks nice. I framed it and hung it in the living room. It looks wonderful. I likely will buy from this seller again.

This is the exact version of this poem that I was looking for. It has been a favorite of mine from the time I first read it, over 30 years ago. It made an excellent college graduation gift for my son.

Received two posters from this artist and both are beautiful. The colors are soft, but stand on their own. I display the poster with a ( no frame ) glass, on a picture stand in my study. I read the message and start my day on a happy note. The colors are calming, love them. Ordering again some smaller posters. You will not be disappointed!

This print of the Desiderata was perfect and beautiful, just as I had hoped and expected!

This is my favorite poem, and so I am quite familiar with it. It is by Max Ehrmann, which is well documented, so the note that it was "found" in a church dated 1692 is a misleading repeat of outdated urban legend, as it was found and later attributed to a 20th century American poet. This particular poster also takes out a lot of commas and alters the wording/phrasing of the poem, which kills the flow of the poem and creates awkward sentences in some places. It is simply a very poor recitation, as there were liberties taken with the wording and grammar. I recommend a different product that uses the original text, as that text is far superior to the abbreviated and altered version that appears on this poster.

This was delivered on time, packaged flat nicely so there were no bends or folds and looks exactly like the listing shows, very nice quality paper too.

Perfect. Quality. Have it posted in my home gym. Much more motivating than a cheesy 'motivational' poster. Something you can read a single sentence of, or the entire passage over and over again. The paper is quality and is as described. Printing is crisp.
