Backyard Safari Campfire Glow Lantern

My mother gave one to each of my sons last summer. The boys love them. At the time it was just a novelty. When hurricane Sandy hit and we lost power for 10 days we were so happy to have these lanterns. We used these to get around the house at night. It puts off great light. The boys also slept with them each night with the "campfire" light on. This way it was not pitch black in their rooms. We bought a 3rd one so my daughter could have one too.

While the white light is bright and works great, the campfire part does not.

Great for my daughter's Halloween costume, just wish it was brighter.

Doesn't work properly - bad battery contacts and campfire mode doesn't work! THERE ISNT EVEN A BUTTON FOR IT. If you follow the statements of others about moving the button carefully in, it pushes in, but still doesn't work.I'm This lantern arrived on time, so for that, I gave it one star.The LED mode is very bright, but the small button on the on/off switch does absolutely nothing, and campfire does not work.Now we have a waste of money and a sad little birthday boy with a tent without a campfire... we have plenty of flash lights and lanterns that light up a space - it was the campfire feature that got our attention. What a waste.

We originally had this lantern and it had the option for full light or a campfire glow in the bottom, for more of a nightlight brightness.Our daughter was devastated when it broke and we found this, it looked exactly the same, and said, "Campfire Glow," so we thought it was the same. Not true. Only option is the super bright light.Very disappointed they don't have the campfire glow option, but my daughter still wants to keep it. It's a great lamp overall, but miss the dimmer setting, which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of 5.

It's a great lantern. The part of the handle that holds it on the lantern broke very easily.

This is the perfect lantern for a young child, we have already come up with a million uses for it and perhaps the most helpful use for it is when the power goes out. It is lightweight and the light is bright enough to see quite well.

I purchased this for my granddaughter for Christmas as she will be going camping soon. She loved it - it did everything it advertised to do. I would definitely purchase it again. Good quality for the price.Charlene

My Grandson just loves the lamp. He has been using it in his bedroom to light up the room after he is suppose to be asleep.

Item did not work, very disappointed little boy on Christmas morning as he had written to Father Christmas asking for it. Being returned to amazon for a refund.
