Works well and comes with a small spreader
I found it worked very well. I did not spread a lot and it prevented me slipping on ice about 3 inches thick. I plan on using the spreader in the car in case i get stuck/ slip and then the big container on my driveway which is sloped. Not a lot of experience with it long term yet. I will update later.

You don't know .....what you don't know.
So I was looking for a good ice melt for my stairs and patio. The way the stairs are formed it has a slope and you can go down hill skiing before you even know it! I saw this and the headline grabbed my attention. I admit I did not go into great detail on the description. So it arrives and I wait for the first big snow to test it out... it was the polar freeze that just hit ( Dec2022). I opened it up and to my surprise I though I had been given the lump of coal gift from Santa...... it is NOT ice melt... it is a hard crushed something rock for the driveway in case your car gets stuck or ice has come up from the nearby river and flooded the farm... well I learned my lesson . I will read the entire description the next time. So gifting my neighbor who's driveway is on a steep slope.

Best substitute for ice melt
I have stamped concrete sidewalks and the installer said never use ice melt as it would pit the concrete. But my sidewalks would get so slippery. This product give immediate traction and slays in place even when the ice melts and re freezes it still gives you traction. And when winter is over its easy to spray off.

Not actually salt just stuff to make the traction. Little better. Worked ok for our dogs on the back steps but not what we thought.

Walk on Ice like it is magic!
Love this stuff! It shakes out easily and really does let you walk on pure ice like it is not even there! There is a bit of a reddish tint. I didn't notice this causing any long term staining. If it is windy, of course, shake this out closer to the ground. It is more than just clay kitty litter and it really works! My dogs have walked over it as well and have had no ill effects.

Works well in a pinch!
I bought this just in case our car (a small SUV) has traction issues on the road, so I had it in an emergency bin in the trunk. I had the opportunity to try it on someone else's compact car first, though: they'd parked, then an ice patch had developed behind their powered wheel and they couldn't get out of the spot. A sprinkle of the traction assistance on the ice patch and a gentle push from the front while they gave the car gas was all it took for their tires to grip and for them to be on their way. I'm pretty impressed with how little it took, too; it was probably just one or two shakes of the can to provide sufficient product.

It really works
Bought this product because my steps are icy as well as the side walk leading to my car but if I sprinkle this down first I can immediately walk on it and not slip

Alberta winters!
This is the best product I’ve ever used! One of my sidewalks is a bit of a hill, so anytime we get a warmer day, the snow melts from the lawn, running onto this sidewalk then freezers over night. Salt, sand….do nothing. Traction magic has only been put down once in the space of a week, and that constant morning ice patch has been great. Also, didn’t take a lot to cover this area. Highly recommend.

Wish I could rate zero
So it works very well but the thing is it turns red and it’s so hard to remove and people in the condo did not like it and it ruins in the summertime when everything melts it ruins stuff

I didn't read the reviews carefully enough, this product ...
I didn't read the reviews carefully enough, this product is not designed to be an ice-melter, in fact it's intended to form a traction layer over exiting ice and packed snow. Returned.
