Was looking to expand the memory AND have a hard wired Ethernet connection for my google tv dongle device. This works great. Allows me to then install more apps as well

It works, but not too get a wired internet connection to a Google Chromecast. I don't think it said anywhere in the description that it would pass power through to the Chromecast. I was just taking a shot in the dark hoping that it would. Oh well. It's still handy to get ethernet to my laptop.

First time you go to plug it in, give it a little bit of umph. It is not going to see into devices easily at first. Not entirely sure why.I would absolutely order this again should I need to. Gigabit Ethernet is as advertised. Works well with Power delivery for laptops that support USB-C/Thunderbolt charging. My USB devices plugged and played just fine.The Headline: it does not work well with USB C android devices, at least not right away. It takes a bit of patience and some knowledge of what you are doing. The power delivery portion simply will not work with Android. It will, however, help to power this adapter itself should it be necessary. Nevertheless, it requires some configuration in android to allow this to happen.TL;DR: Works with laptops and PC phenomenally. Works with android if you don't need the device to charge while in use. USB keyboard mouse ran fine for android and pc. USB drive needs the extra power and will not function correctly right out the gate for android, but will function fine with pc.All in all, decent product.

Really sturdy quality and great heatsink. so far I've had it connected to my MacBook Pro 13 inch 2017 for just over 2 hours no discernible heat on it I've got a whole but one USB 22 and the USB c connected. Ethernet's running phenomenal. I couldn't be more pleased. If anyone is considering a doc without ethernet and advise against since the is the MacBook pros do not come with a built-in ethernet port and it's always just nice when you already have 300 plus download rate for your internet connection, personally I have 500, rather than relying on Wi-Fi. Even though it lacks in HDMI port on this dock I already had a separate one that already will fit and works fine from my 110 Pro that is supported and since this doc only uses one of the two ports on my MacBook Pro, I'm all set.

It works for the new Onn 4k plus. I tried several otg cables and other USB c hubs but nothing would work with the Onn 4k plus. Until now. Vemont works with the new Onn 4k plus for storage and Ethernet .

The new CCwGTV takes its power through a USB-C port that is actually fully functional. Since the CCwGTV has minimal storage, I bought this to allow me to use a well-reviewed USB3 thumb-drive (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B08MB9G2GM) to boost its storage by 128GB for recording with TiviMate and such.It works great! To do the same, use your computer to format the drive in FAT32. The CCwGTV will recognize it and, in its storage settings pane, offer to reformat the drive to ext3 and treat it as internal storage. The process takes a couple of minutes and then you're good to go.This particular hub is more energy-efficient than most, and it works well with the 7.5W power plug that comes with the CCwGTV. You can of course use a bigger supply if you want, but the point is you probably don't need to.The gigabit Ethernet port just works, too.

This will plug into your chromecast w/ google tv, firestick and all other sticks that have usb-c. You can buy a micro usb-usb c adapter. You can then plug in all your flash drives, external hhd, ssd. Buy a strong usb-c charge block to power this because it will also power you streaming device and external hdd & ssd without making your steaming device power off! and you will have an entertainment powerhouse!

This hub did not even power on with the CCWGTV power plug. I thought I may have received a dud. So I tried another one (I bought two straight away, as I have two Chromecasts). And got the same result, nothing! (Also tried with my second Chromecast adapter)Hub worked fine with a Samsung fast charger and my oculus quest charger.So please be aware you may have to shell out a few extra bucks for a more powerful charger, had you planned on using the original Chromecast 7.5w charger!I could not get any combination of USB a to USB c cable to work (I have several of these type chargers) I recommend your USB charge cable has USB c connection on both ends

I brought this to use with google tv and works extremely well. The network lan works well and used a usb to add as extra storage to expand the internal 4gb of room. The network and usb's work with the google tv's provided power unit.
