Better than others, but not adequate. The building exam devotes a considerable number of questions to plans, area and volume calculations. It is a very basic exam, testing for knowledge just to get you started on the right foot. Nothing esoteric whatsoever. I suggest reading a handyman book and a law book as test prep instead of these prep books. They would help with the test and increase your useful knowledge. This book does not have a lot of information in it. Only one side of the page is printed on.

This is a really good book if you're in a bit of a time crunch. It is very short and to the point. The flash cards are excellent and will teach you a lot with very little fudge in between. I recommend it.

The test has changed significantly since this book was published. It had very little relevant information to the actual test. Fairly disappointed. The things highlighted in this book were not important at all. Would advise against buying.

It seems to be very helpful. The interactive portion will be helpful when I get ready to prep for the test

This is a collection of loose letter size sheets that can be flipped like a calendar (not a book). All pages are printed one side only, meaning it only has half the content for the size and weight of it. As for quality of content, it's more or less random collection of "stuff", and therefore in my opinion useless if you are looking for "flash cards" to help you learn essential contents in a comprehensive and systematic way.
