Beretta Nano Magazine Pocket Protector

I'm a big fan of Sneaky Pete. I love my holster - it holds my Nano securely and 'silently'. I bought the magazine pocket protector when I found that my spare mag was tending to collect a lot of lint and small debris from the various pockets I carried it in requiring regular cleaning. This little sleeve works well to cover the business end of the magazine so it is protected. it also prevents rounds slipping out in your pocket. The exterior is all leather with a velvet-like lining that both hugs the magazine, and also makes removal fairly easy.Regarding magazine fit, on my Nano it fits a bit snugly so I would recommend spending a little time practicing retrieving, unsleeving and then changing mags so you are comfortable with the process. I tend to use mine with an extended magazine - the Sneaky Pete holster only allows for the smaller mag that holds 6 rounds. Therefore, my spare magazine is an 8 round mag, and the pocket protector works fine with it (see the pictures I uploaded). One thing you'll likely notice in the pictures is that there is a gap between the end of the protector and the end of the magazine (at least on the Beretta Nano magazine - not sure about other brands) - This bothered me aesthetically a bit initially, but in practicing a reload, I find that the gap helps speed the removal of the sleeve by giving your thumb something to hook onto for a one-handed removal. If it pushed up snug against the bottom of the mag, you'd either need two hands to take the sleeve off, or you'd have to remove it with your teeth and one hand (not a bad way to get it off in a hurry, by the way - probably the fastest one-hand way).Bottom line: an excellent, well-made product from a good company. I unequivocally recommend both Sneaky Pete holsters and this magazine pocket protector!

Quality product, well made, stylish. I bought this for my Nano spare magazine and it does protect the magazine and is comfortable in the pocket. Since it is tight fitting it requires both hands to remove the magazine. NOt a good option when you need to reload. However in another review I read about taking a small length of black paracord (about 2 inches), loop it through the bottom and melt the ends together. This worked great, was simple to do and allows one hand access by taking the cord in your teeth while changing magazines and does not effect the function or appearance.

These look pretty good, but I think the magazine in the picture is not loaded. With a loaded mag the bottom of the magazine sticks out a little further. Like one reviewer stated already in an emergency situation you can kiss a quick reload goodbye. It takes two hands to remove it because they fit so tight which is a problem if you are holding your gun in one hand. I cut a short piece of black paracord and looped it through the bottom and burn then ends together with a lighter. It doesn't look bad and now you can hold the bottom of the magazine and bite the paracord to remove it one handed or it makes it a lot easier to remove it by putting a finger through the loop and pulling the bottom of the magazine.

It does everything that one would expect except there's one small problem. The stitching on the upper lip snags on the magazine at the flared out section where it catches on the magazine release. So in some cases I have to fight with it a little bit to get the magazine free of the pouch. If it was about a 1/16h inch wider this might not be an issue. Unknown if this will pass over time and use.

Fits the Nano 6 rd mag perfect. It is a really tight fit, in an emergency situation, its going to take some effort to remove the spare mag from the protector. Materials are cheap but appear solid enough for daily use. Worth the money. Works for me.

It is perfect for the NANO mag, and is really nicely made! I highly reccommend this product to keep the lint, etc from getting in the mag while in the pocket.

This works great to keep pocket lint out of one's magazine, it is kind of pricy for what it is - but it is a custom piece and all leather, nice tight fit.

A little tight on the mag, taking me some time to loosen it enough that I can quickly remove the mag when needed. Happy with it however.
