Use features like bookmarks, note taking and highlighting while reading Delphi Complete Works of Jonathan Swift (Illustrated). Review: Excellent Series of Collections/Complete Works - Although I have only made a dent in the many Delphi for Kindle works I've purchased they are just wonderful to have. I truly appreciate all the work and editing that goes into each author's edition. The photos, letters, biographies and criticism that goes into each are much appreciated. I can't recommend Delphi enough. Readers only need to purchase one work to find the value for themselves. Thank you to all the people at Delphi for a job well done. Review: Gulliver's Travels and Much More - Even if this collection only contained Gulliver's Travels, it would be a good value, but Delphi gives you so much more. I believe it covers over 4,500 pages. There is poetry, personal correspondence, a couple of biographies, novels, many with generous illustrations. Another great value from Delphi.

Great Collection, but not complete
I'm a fan of Delphi Complete Works, but I give this one on Jonathan Swift four stars rather than five because it does not contain "The conduct of the Allies."

It is extensive and good. Even if you can devour a book
What surprised me was the volume of literature that he wrote! It is extensive and good. Even if you can devour a book, you will need to take your time reading his works. I guarantee it!

what a solution, Mr. Swift!
The complete works of Jonathan Swift does not (this much should be obvious even to the bot in charge here) have a plot. (Though it might well be redescribed, on some meta- level, as a twist-on plot, certainly. Or as a recipe. Think Irish babies...)

Delphi is the best
This is the first Delphi Classic book that I have bought from Amazon......I have purchased others directly from the Delphi website. They do a FANTASTIC job, from the nicely formatted texts to the illustrations.

Great value
Not so long ago, it would take quite an effort and dollars to obtain a collection like this. It's a great value to say the least. All the great works are included and the obscure ones too.

Good Purchase
So far I haven't been disappointed with any of the Delphi Classics I have purchased, and this one falls right in line with the others.

It's the complete works of one of the greatest writers and thinkers the English language has been blessed with (all but the correspondences in 6 volumes as far as I can see); it takes a little tracking to find everything, but dipping here and there and everywhere is its own kind of pleasure.

Wouldn't be without it. The satire is as punchy today as it must have been then.

A varied collection by one of England's most influential writers (though he was Irish, of course)

Whilst this is good for a "reading edition", it has most of the limitations of Public Domain (scanned) books: occasional typos, lack of typographic sensitivity, and more-or-less random capitalization. I bought this to have most of Swift in a portable reading edition and it serves its purpose well. However, no one should ever mistake this e-edition for a serious assembly of texts (writing as a now-retired university lecturer). A student who relied on it would almost certainly find an essay returned marked "sloppy transcription" or, in the case of the "Journal to Stella" with a scathing comment along the lines of "this is a TOTALLY outdated and grossly inaccurate edition". Nonetheless, for a general reader (or one, like me, looking back over Swift's career in his retirement) it serves its purpose as a convenient and portable edition, saving a trip to the Cambridge University Library.

Who am I to comment on the work of a great man. There is a lot to get through but am optimistic it will be an inspiration.
