Oldelf Ski Mask Fleece Mask Warm Balaclava Stay Warm and Comfortable Face Mask for Men Women Breathable Sports Mask

I bought this at the end of the 2017 hunting season when I was getting pretty chilly in the blind. Trying to stay warm for 3-4 hours at a time when you are required to sit 'statue still' when hunting game, is far different than just putting on some layers to go play in the snow, snow shoeing, or what ever. In this situation, you do not have your activity warming you up. So in addition to the normal areas to insulate, you have to pay special attention to your major blood vessels. Meaning, your upper legs, wrists, ankles and neck. In 2017, my regular hat and neck gaiter were not cutting it. You have alot of time to think in a deer blind, so I started thinking up a better solution. Turns out, they make it, and this is it! I consider this a "hunting cowl" for lack of a better term. I have used it for the most part of the 2018 hunting season, and it was a cold one. It covers deep, down over my whole neck and some on my shoulders. Covers the back of my neck perfectly. I can sit still very long periods of time with this thing. It's THICK and very warm. It blocks the wind. It works in the hood configuration, the face mask configuration and the gaiter configuration. And it's silent to adjust. I also use this while sleeping at night when camping in the winter. Keeps my toasty. I honestly have no complaints about this item other than I wish it came in hunter orange. I'm buying a 2nd in case they stop making these and I lose mine. I sound like a shill, but I tell you, every day hunting this year, I thanked my stars for two things. This cowl, and my new jeep.

I ordered this for a winter camp event for my kids where I would be outside in cold for long periods of time. It held its own against -18 degrees with a wind chill creating a real feel of -25. I did wear a hat underneath but the chinches to keep your face protected are great they didn't need adjusting or come loose after being tightened, and I didn't have to tie them either. The only downside was that the hood does not have as much slack as it looks like and I was not able to wear it with the hood down. Which is good and bad. I wanted to be able to leave it on around my neck and just put the hood down however it's not the end of the world to have had to take it all off and I feel this probably helped with the effectiveness of the overall product to keep me warmer. It is super soft and comfortable no irritating points or anything. Definitely a game changer for someone who is looking to keep warmer!

We ordered two of these, one gray the other army green. I wanted gray, my husband army green. We had to swap because the army green was smaller than the gray, and was too tight for him. There's a good inch difference when one is laid on top of the other, and the neck is a tighter. Also, the gray one didn't have the Joyoldelf embroidery on it, however it has a tag sewn inside with Joyoldelf on it, whereas the army green one does not. In addition, the seam stitching is different. Army green has a straight stitch and overlock, the gray just the overlock stitch. The army green one is made of a heavier fleece material than the gray. They were probably made in different factories. Lots of inconstancies between the two. When ordering you would expect the only difference would be the color of the item. That is why I gave it 4 stars. However, we recently moved to the bush of Alaska and have already experienced -20 below, wind chill factor of -33 a couple of week ago. We needed something to protect our face when out walking, or riding the 4 wheeler in the cold weather. No such thing as an inclosed vehicle in this village. We just received these and it had warmed up to 18. We used them when we road the four wheeler to the the post office, and last night during the fireworks show on the frozen river. They were actually almost too warm with the mouth covering pulled up. Our heads and faces were the warmest part of our bodies, it's nice to have the long neck covering in the front and back. Much better than the knitted hats we brought with us. However, I couldn't wait to pull mine off as soon as the I got off the 4 wheeler when we returned home, that's how warm they are. I'll probably chose not to wear mine with the current temperatures. I think we are now prepared when the below zero temperatures and winds return.

Purchased 2 of these in November 2020. Doing review in January 2024. Pros: This will keep your head, neck and face warm. Wore it in 5 degrees F (-5 with windchill) and it kept me comfortably warm. Love that you can tighten it up around the face. Neck gaiter is long enough to tuck inside inner layer - no drafts. Washes well. I typically wear a visor under the Balaclava to protect my field of vision if I need to tighten it up around my face. The balaclava isn’t too bulky…I can still pull my jacket hood up over it. If I get too warm I can pull the balaclava hood down and just wear it as a neck gaiter. Cons: when I have the face covering pulled all the way up it causes my glasses to fog up. Speaking as a woman…I haven’t found a way to put this Balaclava on and then take it off again without absolutely destroying your hairstyle…however, I do not care about that at all as long as I am toasty warm.

I really like this mask it's fleece hoodie of sorts. It keeps you warm it definitely blocked so cold in the wind I recommend it

I like the warmth of this head and neck covering and it is fine when used as a neck warmer although a bit bunchy with the hood. The strings on the hood do not tie properly to adequately cover my nose and mouth. I was going to use it on a bike trip but I’m sending it back.

Ideal for the Midwest winters and dog walking. Super warm and stays on well. Downside, like with any hood, it restricts your side vision and dampers hearing but totally worth it for the softness and warmth.

I tried it and it fits, and there may be some situations it will come in handy, but honestly I think a hooded sweatshirt under my coat works much better. The reason being this has nothing holding it in back so when you pull the hood forward the whole thing moves. I was going to give 3 stars but will put it at 5 since there is nothing wrong with the quality, it is what they say it is, nothing more nothing less. I wore it on a chilly mid 30's day with a stiff breeze, it kept the wind off my head unless facing the wind. It did break the wind very well, material is heavy enough to not allow wind to blow over my skin unless very strong wind. There may be situations where these would be very good, but personally I will stick with a good quality hooded zip up sweatshirt and an outer coat. Didn't work well for what I want but quality and material are very good so I will not cut their rating,

I'm very happy with this balaclava, it's warm, perfectly sized and is a high quality fleece. It's the perfect addition for outdoorsmen, anyone that hunts or just spends time outside in the cold/winter. I got this one in the army green for hunting etc and have ordered a black one to go with my winter wear for hiking, and ski-ing. I like the fact it's all one unit giving you the option to wear the hood up or down with a cosy neck gaitor for warmth, no losing scarves or hats whilst ski-ing. I can't say much more about how pleased I am with this product, other than I ordered another one straight away for myself and considering them for Xmas presents ' I received this item at a discounted price for an honest review.

This thing is insanely warm, as in if its not snowing like mad your going to be sweating warm. Only downside is the hood is massive and floppy, so i advise wearing a baseball cap to keep it out of your eyes, but aside from that its fantastic. You can actually wear a baseball cap backwards and still have ample coverage (dont ask how i found that out) The face cover is kind of like a buff, it goes all the way round and can be tucked away if nessecary, and the bottom has plenty of material to tuck in to your shirt

It is very warm and soft, however, it is a bit too big for my size. Over all, I love the product and would recommend it.

This is very warm and substantial as a good/neck warmer. The material is thick and feels good quality. Having only just received it I do expect it will be durable too. Facing winter with no fear!
