I bought it to create screen windows in an old leanto greenhouse/sunroom. Worked great.
I bought this for kind of an odd purpose, but it turned out great. We have an older leanto greenhouse/sunroom we purchased many years ago. The frame is still good, but the top windows started popping out and I couldn't get them to stay in any longer, so I removed all the top and front windows. I covered the top with poly roofing sheets and added screen to the front windows.. There are grooves where the original windows fit, so I bought this hoping it could fit this in those grooves, keeping screen in place.. It works! I did the screens about 6 weeks ago, and all five windows are holding up very well. It appears to be good quality. I didn't have any problems inserting it. I used a window screen tool to roll it into the grooves. It cut easily with a pair of scissors.. I have gobs of it left, so I have plenty if I find another project to use it in.

I'm giving this a 5 because I found nothing wrong with the product...although I did send it back for a refund. Any door manufacturer that uses flat screen splines should have their heads examined. They are very hard to work with. PLEASE...this is not a problem with this prime line product, it's just a hard design to work with. I ended up returning the spline any paying to have the door repaired. Keep this in mind if you've never worked with flat spines before. The round splines are Soooo much easier to work with.

it is perfect for screen cage spline replacement - works fine with screen or Florida glass. It is a bit of trick to put in. You need to put the top edge in first, and then use the screen tool and firmly press and roll until the spline is fully in the track...then do the long run. It will stretch/grow a bit as you move down the screen.

Save some money
A section of our patio screen pulled out during the last two hurricanes. I did some research and figured I could manage to fix it myself and save a few hundred dollars. I was right..really nothing to it after a quick learning curve. Watch some videos and buy quality tools (I'm sure I will need them again and it was still less money than paying someone). I could have reused the original spline, but I didn't want it to wiggle out again. I read the reviews on this product...they are spot on! What a pain to start the strip (even worse since I wasn't sure what I was doing). Do yourself a huge favor; set this stuff in the sun for a while before you start. What a difference!!! It got so much easier as it was hanging in the sun waiting for me. This is a nice big roll and I have plenty for future repairs. Fits into the Florida style patios perfectly. I also got the square plastic screen clips (only ones on Amazon) that a video suggested to hold the screen in place while working and really made the job easy overall.

Needs strength to use, but works
Hard to work with, but did work for me. Took a good deal of strength to push into place so it did not pop out again.

Perfect!
I couldn't find flat spline in any of our local hardware stores (Ace, Lowe's) so decided to try online. Very glad I did. It installed perfectly using a spline tool. I'm no screening pro, I've only replaced screen in one door many years ago... and yet I got two doors done in less than 45 minutes, it's nice and tight, looks perfect... and I couldn't have done it without this spline. Good product, now I know where to get flat spline at a great price!

Very Difficult To Use
We ran out of spline and were in a pinch so though this would be worth a try. It's a much harder plastic and very difficult to use compared to the other brand we use. We won't use it again.
