Loved that all the stories were in one book but I had purchased it for my grand-daughter and it was too big for her to hold so had to return it. Shame though. the quality was good and I would definitely recommend it for adults.

I'd forgotten how good this book is. I only bought it as I was browsing for some new reads for my Kindle and vaguely remembered reading it many years ago. If anything, it's improved with age, unlike me!Beautifully written, the story flows through the trials and tribulations of the March family leaving you immersed in the technicolour descriptions and worrying about how it's all going to turn out. The characters are perfectly drawn so you feel you really know them pretty much from the start of the story and you'll find yourself laughing and crying along with them.

I bought these for my kindle as although I've read Little Women a few times and know the film off by heart I'd never paid much attention to the later books. These are well worth buying, even with all of the traumas, they are still a "nice" read, its so easy to visualise each of the scenes, just the trick for cosying up on the settee.

The book may be large and rather heavy but it has all the stories in the series in one place. Great.

I first read this book many years ago as a child. The book has stood the test of time very well. The story of the March family is well written and even after all these years I still enjoy reading it. I would recommend any youngster to read this book it is a classic.

A little nostalgia and tales of fighting through against the odds is good for the soul. An excellent classic that still has the ability to inspire the next generation. I can recommend this to anyone that is sentimental, or has a young person in the family who reads well and wants to improve their vocabulary - so interesting that they will hardly notice that they are getting used to language of an earlier era.

Little Women is an ok read, light,undemanding story, but in the subsequent volumes the saccharine mixes badly with the heavy handed moralising.

This is the entire 4 books about the March family written by Louisa M Alcott. : Little Women, Good Wives, Jo’s Boys, Little Men in one big volume.I liked the black and white illustrations from when these books were first published.The only complaint I have is that the book is big, heavy, and a little unwieldy! I couldn’t hold it for long in order to read it - it needed to be propped up on something.
