Work great. However, the #10 is a tight fit for the StrongTie hangers being used. #9 was the recommended size and fit the hanger holes with some play.

Perfect length for tie-plates in 2x4 construction
I have twisted the heads off a couple of these, but I was drilling into 160 year old oak heartwood so it's not too surprising. Also, my construction will now be up to code!

Yep, they are screws, but if they don't need to be flush, these are great. It came with a nut driver tip and really are the easiest screws to put in that I have ever used with joist hangers and sill plates.
