Good knife

Good knife very comfortable in my hand. The only downside is the loop on the back of the knife is too thick to fit into the clips on my climbing belt. This seems like a glaring oversight. Why wouldn’t you make a knife that would clip in to a lineman’s belt?I have a bashlin 88 belt.

Bought this knife after losing a similar knife I had that was given to me by a lineman friend of mine, it was a wood handled knife with a similar shape blade and I quickly favored it over a razor knife when terminating large electrical cables in switch gear. There is more control and less chance of a blade slip with these style knives when ringing the cable. I got this knife recently in the mail (klein kurve) and was surprised at the size of it, thought it was going to be smaller. And the blade was dull, which I knew it would be after reading all of these silly reviews. IF YOU ARE NOT COMPETENT ENOUGH TO SHARPEN A KNIFE I AM WORRIED THAT YOU MAY BE ATTEMPTING WORK THAT REQUIRES A KNIFE LIKE THIS. I like that it came dull because it let me put my own custom edge on it (duller toward the hook to catch the cable to prevent a slip when cutting). The handle is a hard rubber simmilar to a rubber mallet, nice and grippy. The notch is a nice feature for your finger to grip comfortably. The ring is also a nice feature to have a tie off point when working high up or anywhere that a drop must be avoided. All in all I really like this knife, its great for what I need it to do.

This Klein wire and cable skinning knife has a rubber grip and Klein-Curve blade so is comfortable to use for stripping insulation on larger conductors. It has a scraper notch on the back and a hanging ring that is insulated from the blade, so wont conduct when the knife is used for hot work. It is still a lineman's knife though, which means it wont hold an edge for very long before needing sharpening. A good carbide sharpener will drees the edge in no time though so I think this knife is decently made and I am happy with it.

I wish the blade was sharper out of the box. However it does allow you to make a custom edge on it. I prefer a razor edge about a quarter of an inch off the tip of the hook all the way to the hilt. This makes It so I dont accendently scalp some wire. It is a great heavy cable sheathing strip tool as well as an all around work knife. Get the pouch as well so you can toss it on your rig and look like the bad ass electrician everyone know you are. I only wish the handle was a bit more husky and the pommel/butt was more prenounced.

Some time’s its hard to find tools of my trade in stores, but here on this site I can find just about anything

Very happy with this purchase. I ordered a belt holster and carry it every day I work. Very comfortable in my hand, easy to sharpen, and I prefer the shorter blade for cable splicing.

When I received this lineman’s knife it was relatively dull and oiled up. It’s been super reliable since I’ve purchased it and if the blade breaks I will buy the same knife again.

Muy buena navaja, solo que hay que afilarla y despalmarla muy bien para que te funcione al maximo y veras la calidad de la herramienta, vale la pena, totalmente recomendable

Buena calidad, aunque deberían venir afiladas de fábrica. Es al segunda marca Klein que compro, pero al ser americana pensé que esta sí estaría afilada, aunque la calidad es superior en su acero.

It's a cool looking knife, and can be okay to use. I have some uses for it at work with some cable types, but the learning curve is a tad high and everyone looks at you like you're crazy when you pull it out for use.
