Please take your seat. The concert is about to begin! “An ideal way to introduce children to the magic of music―delightful, charming, wonderfully entertaining, beautifully illustrated.”―Gerard Schwarz, Music Director, the All-Star Orchestra Discover what a symphony is. Who Beethoven was. What happens when a conductor takes the podium and faces of the orchestra. And when you should and shouldn’t clap. Here is a unique, interactive introduction to the world of classical music, presenting one of the most famous symphonies ever written, by one the most famous composers who ever lived. With its 19-button sound panel, you’ll hear the different parts and voices of the music―the beginning of Symphony No. 5, the melody, the harmony, the sounds made by a violin, a viola, a cello, a double bass, and more. And you can even sing along.Note to parents: The secret to raising a child to love and appreciate classical music isn’t a secret at all. You just need to listen with your child and be a willing explorer. Talk about what you hear. Marvel at the sounds. Try to identify the instruments―and have fun with it! Review: Shhhhh! Don’t tell everyone it’s a super book - A hard cover book with a button sound pad on the right side. As the pages of the book are turned there are numbers on the instruments on that page. Press the corresponding number on the button pad to hear the Musical note for that instrument. There is knowledge and learning within this book on every page for all ages particularly if the opportunity to learn music was never given. A great fun, educational book with lovely illustrations. My only nit pick would be use of the work yeah which is a pity in such a volume of interest. The main thread is it’s a jolly good buy and will teach any age about a musician and music. Review: A great introduction to classical music - My 5 year old loves this book! It has just enough text for this age group and the music buttons turn it into a great interactive experience. A good introduction to classical music.

What a shame. It didn't work when I received it, even though it had batteries included. I asked for another one and that didn't work either!!!!

Terrible reproduction of music
Luckily I was able to try this out before giving it as a gift as somebody else had activated the battery before returning it. I did the same, it would have been a great disappointment to the recipient. It went straight back.

Excelente!

Suoni bassi e Melodie brevi
Un po' costoso per il prodotto che si riceve. I suoni degli strumenti sono bassi e le melodie molto brevi, rimane comunque un buon prodotto ma dovrebbe essere piú economico

My toddler loves it!
This and the Jazz book by the same author are my 2 1/2 year olds favorite books! We’re not big on toys that make noise, but I was in a work trip to New Orleans recently, saw the Jazz version of this book in a local bookshop and picked it up as a souvenir for my music-loving kid. He enjoyed it so much, that I ended up ordering this book too. He can name all the instruments by their picture and sound (and in real life too) and now asks everyone he meets “which instrument do you love?” He loves the trumpet and the viola, he’ll let you know and the next time he reads the book he’ll make sure he recited “mama loves the bastion, dada loves the oboe, Lucas and Brian love the clarinet....” every time that instrument comes up. He’s too little to get anything out of the music theory that’s mentioned, but he enjoys reading it anyway. I would imagine that kids through about 8 or 9 would enjoy this book. One thing that the Jazz book has that I was was in this is a page in the back with recommendations for further listening. My son asks Google to play “symphony number (he picks a random number) by Ludwig van Beethoven, but he doesn’t believe me that there are other composers who wrote other good symphonies. He loves the suggestions in the back of the Jazz book, which have led him to explore music by several different artists.
