Bright Ideas Now Bluetooth Speaker, with rechargeable battery and auxilary input! (Grey)

I know I listed the sound as both a pro and a con which is confusing, but I can't ignore how tinny and distorted this thing is at max volume even if it is cheap. At lower volumes the sound is much more acceptable, I'd say you start to hit acceptable at about 80% volume. Pop this thing outside, get a little distance from it, and the distortion becomes even less noticeable. I like that it's heavy, doesn't feel like the wind will knock it over or like it would be shatter if it got knocked over. At the time of writing there are better options for a bluetooth speaker in this price range but I still can't bring myself to hate the Bright Ideas Now Bluetooth Speaker. It doesn't have the best sound, the English of the audio menu is mildly broken and good luck on the battery but I'm still kind of charmed by this thing. The sound isn't unacceptable (it's even kind of nice if listening to music with a more lo-fi aesthetic), the device itself is pretty well designed, the volume and forward/backward buttons aren't merged like you see so often on other budget speakers, the broken English becomes very charming over time and not every speaker offers little touches like a Micro SD slot and FM radio. So yeah, you can do better than the Bright Ideas Now portable bluetooth speaker, but you could also do worse.

Hi Amazon costumers if you reading this is becouse you want to know about this speaker well the first one they send me didn't work at all problem no sound but an than they send mea replacement and woooow yea wooooow this speaker is great yea great and this is a list why ok snd some pointers HOW TO MAKE IT WORK RIGHT1-Bass question it has bass Yes it those but a lot of things you have to keeon you mind first this bass is way to good for the size but not expect a beats pill bass that is a 200 bucks speaker and has 4 speakers on it this is only one and no even 1/8 of the price this is a 2 INCHES speaker but definitely no super bass but ones again way to good for the size no mentioning that is has amazing Cristal crear soun voice is really good and is a surround sound it sounds cool2- if it is loud YES it csn get relly loud and sorprice NO distortion only beautiful Cristal clear sound that can easily can full a big room with no problem3-radio function if it works YES i know allot of the reviews says is only static but here is the trick firs you HAVE TO prest the play pause key on the radio mode (you get there pressing the M key more than ones reed manual) and automatically it wil start looking and putting in memory any station with good reception after finish you can change stations with the + and - volume keys and you control the volume with the ring build on the body speaker an yes allot stations depens where you are you can repeat this step if you think you are in better spot to get more station but you have to have the cable charger connect on the speaker with out ben actually charging is becouse it works as an antenna for the radio4- keep in mind that for the price and the size if this speaker that why allots of people like it and give 5 stars a mean is super portable is one of the things that i really like about it and allyhe functions buy the way you can connect it with the cable to a electronic that has not Bluetooth AND reads micro SD cards thats why to me is one of the best out there i really like this one compere with the others out there it has all the functions great price and perfect size5 - i know its with other sellers out there but jiamve from Bright ideas has the best price and the best costumer service why i going to pay 10 o 14 bucks with bad o no costomer services at all when i can have the best of both whit this guys becouse before i buy i read most of the reviews from the other sellersBuy the way up date battery is terrible 10min at the most unless you plug it it will last for the longest you need it

The unit sports the title "Super Bass Portable Speaker"...it is NOT. I have had very similar speakers that when placed on table top or solid furniture, the sound will resonate through the material and SOUND like it has deep bass. However, this unit DOES NOT. In all fairness, it does put out very good sound (when it works) which brings me to my next point. I've had the unit for 3 weeks now. Upon first getting it, there are no instructions, so, one had to figure out using the micro-card to turn it upside down and then insert into the unit. But, be careful, if you should slip before the micro card is clicked into place, it WILL spring it across the room. Then good luck trying to find such a small object.It has a built in tuner (for the radio) is is not found on the other units I've seen, however, once again, since no instructions, it is trial and error that you must leave in the USB cable which doubles as the antenna. I thought perhaps the unit stopped working because it needed a recharge, but, charged it for four hours and still getting the same repeated "CF Card Music mode" and it will not proceed past this until the micro card is removed.Bluetooth connection is also good. I mainly used the CF Card mode to play music on the micro card, but, since that option no longer works, I guess it can still be used as a radio and bluetooth speaker...until they stop working as well...
