Love this cookbook
We recently visited Chimayo New Mexico and acutualy ate at this restaurant. Love Mexican food from New Mexico and bought this book from their restaurant. It is so good I love the fact I can recreate recipes that we had. I bought another for my son from amazon it is awesome! Not only are the recipes great but the history of the restaurant is great also. Great buy if you love good Mexican food don't expect tex mex it won't be in this book!

This, not the new edition, is the actual ...
This, not the new edition, is the actual traditional cooking of New Mexico. Foodies will freak at the idea of queso made from Velveeta, but to the people of rural New Mexico, Velveeta was a blessing when it arrived in the 1920s as an alternative to strong, sour flavored goat cheeses of the sort now euphemized as "assertive." Old style goat cheese all too often reeked of cabron.

A must have for New Mexico cuisine lovers
I Love Chimayo a I know i am biased because I grew up in northern NM, but I've not found anyone who wasn't enchanted by the experience of visiting this wonderful place and eating at the old ranch house is truly an unforgettable dinning experience!

worth the price for the sauces alone.
Great book. Worth the price for the sauces alone. the first part of the book has a lot of fluff, but just skip it and rack the recipes.

Sub-standard used merchandise
Great recipes from a great restaurant that I have enjoyed going to. However, the book arrived sticky. I had to wipe it off before I could really look at it. Eww! Also, the edge of the pages look seriously water damaged.
