Nice kit with several different versions in the box
I specifically bought this model because it provides the option to build several versions of the P-38. It is a quality kit that will build into nice model. Not for a beginner, I can recommend this kit to any modeler who has build a few kits. The price on Amazon was comparable to the price found on other online hobby retailers.

some of the parts did't fit well. had to do allot of repositioning and sanding. when done, it did look good.

Nice 1/48 scale P38 Lightning
I loved the detail by Academy. Except no detailed instrument panel part. only a small decal sheet with dials . Other than that it has great inside and outside details. I used a extra pilot put in plane. Didn’t come with pilot.

Brilliant kit, you can make one of four different variants, instructions and painting guides included. The price is outstanding for such a big kit with all the extra parts, only one downside no pilot figure.

Thought I was ordering 1/72, but this appears to be a great 1:48 kit altough a bit pricy. Box was damaged but all appears to be intact.
