Very Well Made
Let's start by saying that this item is well made (made in the USA too) but very expensive. It comes in two sections, the beautiful aluminum mounting arm/base and the mirror. Let's start with the good, the arm is a finely crafted heavy piece of aluminum with stainless steel hardware and a sleek look. It attaches via two large stainless steel set screws in the bottom of the rail base for a permanent installation. The base contains a knob that can be unscrewed (the screw is spring loaded and captive) to lay the mirror flat when installing a mooring cover, a very nice and needed feature on most pontoon boats. The mirror portion is all plastic including the adjustment knob and attachment system. That was the part that I felt was somewhat lacking, it just feels cheap when compared to the bombproof metallic arm and mount. My biggest complaint is that for $300 it does not even come with a 20 cent hex/Allen key for installation that means if you don't own a set of hex keys you'll need to purchase one separately. For something in this price range that's completely unacceptable. Include an inexpensive hex key and lower the price and it gets 5 stars.Overall it offers a great field of vision, does what it's supposed to and is the absolute best in it's class, but the price is simply too high.Update: 01.24.2016After an entire season of use I want to say that I love this mirror. Even the lesser quality of the plastic vs. the aluminum hasn't affected its durability. I see that they have lowered the price by over $80. That makes purchasing this item a no-brainer. I've been impressed so I've added a star. You won't find a better product.

Excellent pontoon mirror
In reading pontoon forums, everyone says the same thing about this mirror - it's excellent, but very expensive. Well, for the amount of money you are spending on the boat, $300 isn't that bad for a quality mirror. It is extremely well made, easy to assemble and adjust, and gives a great field of view. I'm sure you can buy a mirror for your boat for a lot less, but over time, I think the value of this product will be worth it.I was happy enough with the mirror, but then I had an issue with one of the parts (not sure if it was my fault or theirs) and Nate from PTM called me about 15 minutes after I emailed them. He was very fair in assessing the situation and then sent me a new part by next day shipping. Excellent customer service! I really want this company to succeed.

The worst Item I have bought on Amazon
The mirror did not fit the rail in my tritoon, it was repacked as new as it came and they charged a 125$ restocking fee! Disgusting! Robbery!

Not bad, it works.
It is expensive, but well made and gives good rear visibility with the large mirror. I mounted the device on the starboard rail of a 2021 R24 Bennington TRITOON boat. However, depending on your torso height, I am 6’3” and son is 6’7”, sometimes you need to do a head stretch up or shrink your shoulders and chin down to see what is in coming up in the water on the right hand side of the boat. The device does fold down low enough to fasten my boat cover. I do wish the middle of the bracket arm was designed so you could move and adjust the height of the mirror, a little below instead of direct head and eye level.

Quality product.
I bought this mirror so I could watch my kids on the tube without turning around. It’s not a cheaply made mirror. This is a nicely crafted aluminum mirror. I installed it in 5 minutes. It adjust easily. You will need an Allen wrench to install it. It has a button at the bottom so it will fold down.

Excellent mirror!
Very well made, and excellent looking! For my boat I built my own rail for the install. They offer a mirror that can be installed into the dash but I didn't want to drill dash. The panoramic view from this mirror is a wide angle love affair!

Great quality, one major flaw
Very well made unit, quality is top notch. The reason for 2 stars is that yes it folds down, but there is no way to lock it down so it would just bounce up and down on your railing if folded. I’ll be returning it.

Best mirror on the market.
Best mirror you can buy for a pontoon boat. It is well worth the money. I bought the rail mount. Very easy to install. Great vision.
