Great Value for a Smart Doorbell Camera!
I’ve been using the Geeni Doorbell Camera for a few weeks now, and I’m thoroughly impressed. Installation was a breeze, and the app is user-friendly, making setup quick and painless. The video quality is crystal clear both during the day and at night, thanks to its night vision feature. I love the motion detection and real-time notifications—it helps me keep an eye on deliveries or visitors no matter where I am. The two-way audio is also excellent. It allows me to communicate with anyone at the door easily, whether I’m home or away. Plus, the camera integrates seamlessly with my other smart home devices. It’s an affordable option without compromising on features, offering excellent value for the price. Overall, I highly recommend the Geeni Doorbell Camera for anyone looking for a reliable, affordable, and easy-to-use smart doorbell solution!

Quality & price
Easy install, good picture day and night. Replaced a 1st gen Ring after the Ring wasn't always connecting due to poor rear plate fitment causing corroded contacts. Additionally, when 2 years of the Ring subscription is close to the same price of this camera and a 128gb micro SD card, it was a no brainer. I've used Geeni/Merkury Innovations products for over 5 years (cameras & lights) with little to no issues. The app isn't as clean and easy to use as the Ring app, but this gets the job done.

Great Video Doorbell!!!
(UPDATE 4.2021) I’ve had this doorbell for 8 months now and I’ve decided to give my long-term thoughts on the product. I was going to do this at a year but what the heck, let’s get a little crazy. Overall this video doorbell has great value for the money. There are no subscriptions for general service...yet...I hope it stays that way. There is a sub for cloud storage but that’s optional. Just pop in a 32GB microSD card and it’ll save a week’s worth of video at a time. If you need more back up, then the cloud storage might be for you. This doorbell features motion detection and night vision. Both a little lacking but a nice touch. The motion detection is around 90% accurate once you set the sensitivity and the surveillance area window. This could simply be our placement or whatever but again, overall, it does what it needs to. Night vision isn’t that great. At all. With NV on, field of view shallows out quite a bit, barely being able to see around 8-10 feet away and tends to blow out anything else. So if someone is standing there, they tend to look like a white blob. With night vision off, the cameras auto exposure kicks in and you can see across the street with decent detail for night time video. So I don’t have it turned on. And the last issue I have is that it’s not HD. When I hear “HD” in 2020, I’m thinking 1080p at least. I would be surprised that if you could call it 720p. In the video feed you can choose between SD (standard def) and HD (high def). HD mode is basically an over-sharpened SD video feed however. HD gives you no more pertinent detail in your video. Now, none of this is what I’d call a deal breaker because you can see enough in any instance, especially if someone is at your door or on your porch. But don’t expect to be able to make out facial features of the driver of a car as they drive past. Overall I am happy with the doorbell and don’t regret saving money and skipping the more expensive competitors. Yes, it has its shortcomings but it’s honestly easy to overlook them once you’re using the Geeni, laughing at all those who have to pay every month just to use their doorbell! *(UPDATE 11.2020) Replaced my doorbell transformer and that fixed my issue! *Initial review...if you could call it that! LoL* This is a GREAT alternative to some of the bigger brands. To help me collect my thoughts on this and give a proper review, I need to say that most of the issues I had were a result of putting this on an older house whose previous and only other owner did questionable things with the electrical. That said, if the electrical of my house were better installed, yes including the doorbell wiring, this would’ve been an easy and flawless install, probably 15 minutes give or take a few...not several hours. Once installed, it functioned perfectly. It did so for a couple hours and something changed. We noticed a buzzing/humming from our chime and the doorbell, video and all stopped functioning. I messed with it for a couple days and found a fix using a particular resistor put in place in the circuit. This fixed it! Almost. The video works, it alerts my family to activity, but the chime doesn’t work. CS says it’s the transformer...possibly. *see UPDATE 11.2020* So the only problem I’ve had was trying to troubleshoot the chime, which might be the transformer. This doorbell is easy to install, use and has perks like a fraction of the cost of competitor products and no subscription needed! This makes it so worth it!

easy to install
Works great, and images are clear. Great price for this product. Takes the guessing who's at the door go away. Keeps your loved ones safer. I love the notification feature. Clear images, and camera is so quick to install, even for a novice.

'Ehh' is about the best word
So, I like Geeni products. Hub-less switches and bulbs have been my experience, but I saw the camera and the price and wanted to try. I purchased my camera and memory card everything installed easy. The fact it came with an item to let your doorbell chime was even better! Installation took about 20 minutes, only because I was going slow. The 2nd time I installed it, took 5 minutes. The first night with the camera was great. Motion worked, notifications worked, video history worked, it was great. Next morning, I had no history to view and now my camera was "unable to create encrypted tunnel" or something similiar. I worked through some issues and determined it might be a bad camera. I swapped my cameras out and tried again 2 days later. 2 days later, same issues. I envoked Geeni support. 1st thing, reset camera. DONE. 2nd thing, i need a better memory card (Hmm, skeptical, but OK). 2 days later, new card in tow and same thing. Unable to connect and not being able to look at any history. I worked with support for a few weeks when they finally told me that they would pass my information onto developers. So, that was it. My return date had passed and they had no idea how to fix it. Amazon was able to authorize a return via chat and I purchased a Google Nest Hello.

Awesome doorbell cam.
I bought this doorbell camera because my mailman was attacked and kidnapped right in front of my house. The cops recommended that I get cameras for safety reasons. It was very easy to install, set up, and to use. I've never had any problems with it. I frequently view this camera throughout the day. It's a great doorbell camera. I highly recommend it...the video that's recorded can be saved and viewed anytime and anywhere without a monthly subscription. It's saves the video to a memory card.

Does not work with Alexa.
I like that this camera works with an SD card and does not require a subscription like everything else now days. However, it does not work with Alexa as advertised. Alexa don’t find it nor can their support work out how to get it to work. They walk through all the same steps in the sit up, ask for your login credentials whose is unacceptable and then tell you that they have escalated it to their development team. They chat with you via email over the next few days to weeks with no solution. So if you want the camera to be viewable on an Alexa show, go with another option.

Straightforward install, but tech support responded within 24 hours
The Geeni DoorPeek is a wired doorbell that uses your existing transformer and mechanical (or digital) chime. the doorbell was a fairly straightforward install, but I did have to run the install routine 3 times before it worked. (I understand this is not uncommon with video doorbells). The doorbell uses a "security screw" on the bottom to hold the doorbell in place and prevent theft. The screw is a pain to install (that kind of screw is used on most doorbells) and took a little work to get it in place and tight. the motion sensing has adjustable sensitivity, and it has a "chime controller". In my case, the chime controller was not needed, although I did not see that noted in the instructions. Despite Covid, the tech support team responded within 24 hours and I got the chime going. the product arrived on time, and the packaging was nice. I will update this after I have the doorbell in use for a few months. I like that idea I can see and speak with whoever is there, even if I am not home!

The Bell, Camera and Notications to App work Excellent. May need a higher volt Doorbell capacitor
I have had the outdoor Genni Hawk 3 and 2 Indoor cameras for the past year. They work excellent. Through the app I can view them anywhere in the world at any time. I bought the doorbell Peak camera to have a close up view of anyone at the door and something I could answer anytime someone came to our house. It is easy to connect to WiFi, the picuture is excellent day or night. It send notifcations immediately to my cell and I can answer and hang up easy. The only issue I found was it would not ring the chime of my existing door bell in my house. I did try different configuation of wiring but it still did not chime ( my doorbell tranformer is 12 Volts AC which is suppose to be ok any where from 12 -24 VAC in Genni's information ) Reading other reviews for this camera and other brands they says the chime may need a 24VAC transformer. I bought one for $28.00 and installed. Chime is the house works now.

Disappointing and Not Functional
The doorbell itself appears well-made and sturdy, but the functionality is extremely poor. The internal chime does not work, so there’s no sound inside the house when someone rings — which defeats the purpose of a doorbell. Accessing recorded videos is also very inconvenient. There’s no forward or skip option, so you have to watch the entire clip from start to finish. When a visitor rings, the alert only appears as a basic notification on the phone instead of a video call, and tapping it simply opens the app without connecting to the visitor. I reached out to customer support for help, but received no useful assistance. Overall, this product is absolutely useless for its intended purpose and will be returned.

Très bon rapport qualité prix.
Très bon achat. Bonne résolution. Les fonctions sont simples et efficaces. Pas besoin de payer un service mensuel. Bon rapport qualité prix. C'est impressionant tout ce que cela fait pour un prix très abordable.
