Great mount but completely useless documentation
This antenna mount is easy to install and is very stable and secure. No drilling required. all you need is wire cutters and an 11mm wrench (socket wrench will not work unless it is a very deep socket). I have a 6 foot pole mounted to mine and it is rock solid. While it can be done with one person I would suggest you get a friend to help. Two of us completed the install onto the chimney in under 20 minutes. The documentation is completely useless. As others have suggested it helps a lot to get as much of the slack out of the cables as possible before you tighten the tensioning bolts. Quick 10 step instructions:1. Loosen the nut holding both halves of the bracket together but don't remove the bolt.2. insert the U-Shaped bolt as shown in the product picture. Attach the lock washer and nuts but don't tighten them.3. insert the tensioner (the thing with the triangular head). thread on a lock washer and nut but leave it near the end of the tensioner.4. Starting with one end of the strap ... feed the strap through one of the 4 flat belt keepers, then through the tensioner (triangle head thing) then back through the belt keeper. You can fold the belt where it goes through the tensioner. and make this side look neat.5. position the mount where you want it on the chimney and wrap the cable around the chimney then repeat step 4 but don't fold the belt.6. this is the important part. Take up all the slack in the belt before folding it at the tensioner.7. At this point the mount should already feel stable. now tighten the nuts on the tensioners.8. Repeat for the second mount.9. Insert the antenna pole.10 Tighten the remaining nuts (three on each mount) and you are all good.

Very sturdy, but maybe replace cheap steel mounting hardware with Stainless.
Stainless straps easy to work with if you buy a cheap sheet metal snip/scissors from Harbor Freight...thought stainless would be more permanent installation, especially in beach environment vs. galvanized steel, but stainless is softer, so I'm watching to see if bands stretch and needs periodic retightening vs galvanized. Band edges are SHARP too, will cut you, so use gloves !Decided not to use cheap steel mounting hardware, went with $11 worth of stainless 1.5" x 20 hex bolts and stainless locknuts and washers instead of included screws...and spray-painted cheap steel clamp with black epoxy paint before mounting so I don't have to worry too much about salt corrosion up on roof. One quality issue was one of the mounting arms was not formed/bent properly where mast is held, bolt holes on outside did not allow mast installed with outside bolt installed, but the galvanized steel arm is so thick it held mast fine with just inner bolt installed. After for my choice to replace cheap steel hardware with stainless, I'm happy and confident with it. Chimney mount easily installed and is very sturdy for my new digital TV antenna using 10ft PVC for mast.

Used for a TV satellite dish, took a bit of wrangling, but it is solid
The instructions are helpful, but the additional input from Amazon reviewers was also useful.I was able to install by myself, but I'm mechanically inclined and I have good access to my chimney. A second person would definitely make for an easier/quicker installation. You need to be comfortable/able to sling the straps around (or over) the chimney, and hold them in place, and secure the fasteners. The input from another review (install one strap clamp completely, and leave the other clamp loose) was critical. I recommend this product for a mast/post that is LESS THAN 1.5 inches diameter. The materials are a mix of stainless, galvanized and anodized. I covered some of the fasteners/anchors with aluminum flashing tape to provide additional weather protection. It has been in place for 6 months and is holding up well. I recommend semi-annual inspections to check the fastener tightness. Some notes about my specific installation, some directly and undirectly related to the product - My TV sattelite mount is unconventional and required a bit of "engineering" on my part to complete the installation to my satisfaction. The satellite mount is NOT circular (it is ovalized) and it required the largest post/mast that this product would accommodate. I purchased a piece of EMT (galvanized electrical conduit, 1-1/2" inside diameter, I think) and had to rip pieces of EMT to shim the satellite bracket in place. The EMT has an outside diameter of 1.75", and this is was a bit larger than the brackets took a bit of effort to "Snap" into each receiver/clamp. You can see that the outer screws of each clamp are slightly bent due to the larger diameter of the EMT.

Hoping it’ll work well
Easy enough to install by myself, it’d be easier with four hands though. Appears to be well made and should hold up to the elements. The threading on the tips of the eye bolts was not ideal. Was somewhat difficult to get the nuts on without them wanting to cross thread, but managed to get them started and threaded right. The instructions are hot garbage and aren’t even for this model mount. Easy enough to figure out though. You’ll need a plethora of tools, including tin snips. Looking forward to getting a 1”x10’ emt mast and antenna up and seeing if this mount stands the test of time.

Be sure to put binder clips right up against the D-rings--otherwise they will slip
So far my antenna is still on my roof. The instructions don't mention this, but I found via trial and error that you have to put the binder clips on the strap hanger right up against the D-rings. If you try to clamp the clips out away to get rid of the slack strap, they will slide...no matter how much you crimp them!Unless you have a metal pallet strap crimping tool that notches, if you just follow the instructions, the banding strap will slip unless you put them right up against the D-Rings.Un-crimping a slipping clip on top of a steep roof isn't a lot of fun, when those extra tools are 30 feet below and you aren't too keen on going up and down and more than you have to.Otherwise good product. A better clamping system would be nice.

Follow clamp directions. Keep clamp close to eye bolt.
Easy to use. Instructions fairly clear. I did have to re do the clamp once as it slipped the first time I tried.A tip: keep the clamp as close to the eye bolt as you can.Product is competitively priced from this seller. But over all it's an expensive piece of stamped steel.Saved me from drilling holes in my brick chimney tho.I used 1" aluminum tube for my mast and the clamps held it tight.
