What are the ingredients?

Medline is not being honest about their ingredients!

THE ACTUAL INGREDIENTS LISTED ON THE TUBE are: sunflower oil, soybean oil,bees wax, candellia wax, flavor, hemp seed oil, mango seed butter, meadowfoam seed oil, corn starch, hydrolyzed corn start, jojoba oil, rosemary leaf extract, aloe vera leaf,tocopherol (vitamin E), diisopropyl propionamide, menthane caraboxamide, menthyl recutila (matricaria), isomerized afflower acid, palmitoyl tripede-5 stearate,glycerin, sucralose, sorbitan monooleate, aqua, butylene glycol, aphanizomenon flos-aquae extract, hydrolyzed soy protein, camelia sinensis extract, soy amino acids, yeast extract, eugenia caryophyllus (clove flower).

The Medline site lists Soy protein, yeast extract, vitamin D, blue green algae, green tea and clove flower extract (it's actually the last ingredient!), and Additional Ingredients: Natural Oils and Extracts including Calophyllum Tacamahaca Seed Oil, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Extract, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract and Hordeum Distichon (Barley) Extract, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Phospholipids, Ceramide.

I purchased it after visiting the Medline website and seeing what turned out to be a misleading list of ingredients. I was surpised that they left out many ingredients when I got the product. I would not have purchused it if I knew the entire list of ingredients. It burnt my lips a bit when I put it on, and they were worse after. I only used it once!

Does the lip balm have the fragrance of the lotion?

It really doe snot have a fragrance, it has a little taste bu i  cannot place what it is is is not like a flavored stick.  It really makes soft lips though and does not get into the cycle of "chapsticks" (the more you use the more you need it)

Is this the same lip balm as the one from Medline that is in the blue container?

Accepted Answer

No, although some say it is. The blue tube is the first lip balm I’ve ever used that doesn’t leave my lips chapped and peeling, and I’m almost 70. The purple one is heavier, has a different flavor, and does not work for my lips. I don’t know if they changed their formula but this *is not* the same.

Does it get rid of cold sores?

I don't believe it gets rid of cold sores, but, it keeps your lips moisturized so you don't get cold sores, especially in the Winter months.
