Does the display light up as shown in the description? That would make it easier to read.

Look at Answer 1 (Maina, answered on December 13, 2015). YES, it has a backlight! I just followed these instructions on my newly-installed thermostat, and it lights up beautifully.

You probably didn't turn the 'Heat on/off' button to 'off' after setting the backlight to on. The process is: 1. Switch bottom button to 'Heat'. Press up and down arrows at same time for 2 seconds. Display alternates with FF and L flashing. 2. Push 'Up' or 'Down' button to select FF. 3. Now, make sure you set the bottom button to 'Off' to make the backlight setting permanent. Backlight will come on now whenever you press the up or down arrow buttons. Goes off after a few seconds if the buttons aren't being depressed.

can i use it in an rv with a 12 (2 wire) volt system?

If it’s just heat only you can use it but if you have a duct system with ac and heat you cannot use it

Will this work with a Cozy gas wall heater that uses 2 wires?

From what i learned back when i did my research is a 2 wire system will work with any 2 wire thermostat. ..it worked on mine and works perfect...and saves me on my gas bill...if your still unsure i would recommend calling the manufacturer...good luck
