Brightea Classic Pu Erh Tea Mini Cake Puerh Tuo Cha Sticky Rice Scented (6.4oz, 34 Pieces approx.)

I love making iced sticky rice puerh tea. I steep this for about 10 minutes with the water at about 190 degrees to make it strong but not bitter. I've tried another brand of this puerh from a nice tea shop that is twice the cost. This doesn't steep as many times, but the flavor is equally as good. I consider this a better purchase and will buy again.

I've been drinking other sticky rice puerhs for years. Thought I'd give these a try. The bag of tea cakes and the first pot I brewed smelled so strongly of ...I guess chemicals, maybe? Certainly not the rich, earthy, glutinous rice smell that normal accompanies this type of tea. The smell was so strong that I didn't feel comfortable ingesting the tea and threw away the whole bag.

Love, love, love this tea! I think this is the only tea that satisfy my coffee cravings (trying to quit). This particular Pu Erh tea has the loveliest taste; I keep buying it again and again!

Good strong flavor. Use a big cup of hot water or take the bag out after the recommended steeping time or it will be overpowering.

I'm not a huge fan of the taste of pu erh. I just tried this tea with the Sticky Rice flavor/aroma and it's much better. I'll buy this again.

I had purchased this tea previously - just last August (2017) and loved it. Good strong flavor. So I reordered. Noticed that the cakes of pu erh were different than the previous order, though still wrapped in gold foil, are 1/ twice the size and 2/ do not have a sticker holding the foil shut. Unfortunately, the difference is more than this: steeped for ten minutes and still weak and very little of the "rice" flavor. Will return these and look elsewhere. Too bad as these were great (five stars) before.Not right for Brightea to change a product and package it as the same thing....Plainly, Brightea is aware of this because the current "nests" are twice the size of the previous ones as though to compensate for the lack of flavor. They do not.Tried it again this AM - though didn't drink a drop. Very strong smell of Bleach! (no, Gracie, not my teacup.) Yes. Bleach.Photo below shows item received in Nov 2017 with the thicker "nest" and the item from Aug 2017 - thinner with the small sticker. The August tea was excellent.

Purchased the sticky rice tea and it's delicious. Cakes are pressed tight and the flavor is unique. Like earthy mochi tea. I know it's unorthodox but I love it with sugar and cream!
