I like that it doesn't use electric shock because I love my dogs of course and the vibration is strong enough to get my dogs attention but I'm not sure it's curbing his barking, it just makes him sad. 😔 but that's probably his issue. Overall and for the $ is definitely worth trying for a while before trying a shock collar. The down side is when he's wearing it in the car where he barks the most, the wind sets it off if he sticks his head out and his brother barking also sets it off. Sometimes it seems it's not doing anything and he's standing there barking like an insane sociopath because he saw a schnauzer! So I don't know how to correct those issues but I would rather let him bark all day than torture and torment him with electric shock. He's an abuse rescue and I still have to take the collar off sometimes because he's barking so much and continuing to get vibrated with pretty strong vibration which is not deterring him just making him afraid. In that respect he's aware of the vibration but it's not a deterrent for him apparently.

We are very happy with this product and it arrived to our house within just a few days after ordering. I liked the affordable price, and the ease of use too. It comes with extra batteries that are easy to install. The default settings seem to work the best for our dog because on the first bark the collar sets off a light frequency tone and if she barks again then another tone is set off but it's louder and a little bit longer. The vibration begins after the third bark and both the tone and vibration will continue to get more intense and last longer with each subsequent bark if the dog continues. I've never heard our dog bark more then twice while wearing the collar so I'm pretty happy that she is getting the message pretty quickly after the first or second frequency tone. Furthermore, it is completely customizable and easy to change the default settings to whatever you'd prefer. Our dog is a medium sized yellow lab and it was so easy to adjust it to the correct fit for her. It can also be adjusted to fit any size of dog from a little chihuahua to a larger sized pit bull or retriever. We couldn't be more satisfied with this product and we highly recommend it to anyone needing something to help with their barking doggies. Our dog seems to be very comfortable while wearing the collar and she isn't bothered by it at all, she is the same happy dog as always and she eats and sleeps just fine with the collar on. The only difference is there's no more barking. Thank goodness for that.

We have a golden/boarder collie/Australian shepherd mix that barks extremely ferociously at the horses, or whenever anyone walks or bikes by our house, comes to the door, or to the gate to deliver a package. Now my 6mo German Shepherd has starting in. We initially used this collar on sound-only but it did nothing to help. When we turned on the vibration, however, the barking stopped immediately. He still paces the fence with a low growl, but the barking and antagonistic behavior has stopped completely. The only challenge is that if one of the dogs is wearing the collar, and the other is near and barks, the collar will go off so if you have more than one dog, you may want to get more than one collar. The biggest issue is the fabric collar the device comes on. It immediately started to fray and I had to replace it within a week.

This collar works for the most part. I bought it for my dog who whines incessantly when left alone, hoping to curb that behavior. It picked up on most of the whines but a few were missed. Even a couple barks didn't seem to set off the collar at the highest sensitivity level. My dog didn't respond very well to the collar but I think it's mostly because she's already so anxious. It scared her more than anything so we've stopped using it on her.I do have a friend whose dog has a problem with night time barking and they asked to try the collar. He responded super well and was barking less after one night with the collar.Over all, the collar works pretty well but the effectiveness also depends on your dog.

We were eager to try a collar that was not a shock solution. This one fits our doodle well. But, the sound is not reliable. It will go off -- or not. The same volume and quantity of a barking can trigger the sound....or not. The sound might go off 50% of the time. When it does, the collar works. But, it is not consistent enough to have the full training effect. Our dog is a moderate and occasional barker @ about 50 pounds.

I purchased this collar several months ago for one of our very barky beagles. It works like a charm and I especially liked it because there was little to nothing I had to do to "set it up." Just put in the battery, and the collar works great with issuing a tone and vibration - NO shock.Because the one I previously purchased had worked so well I decided to order another one. Amazon had been saying it was out of stock, but when I checked a few weeks later, it showed it was available but shipping was about 3 weeks. Well I ordered and finally received it. This one is NOT like the first one I received! First of all, this one is rechargeable battery, not a replaceable battery, which is not a huge deal. Secondly, this one IS a shock collar - not a tone/vibration collar - NOT what I wanted!! The description clearly reads "No Shock" but it is indeed a shock collar. I am now trying to return it, but it is not a free return and has to be shipped back to China, so I will probably pay as much in shipping as I did for the collar purchase.

This bark collar is a "no shock" option to control your little barker.We have used a shock collar before and when it stopped taking a charge we replaced it with this one. Works like a charm as the sound is the same and the vibration is all that is needed to remind her that barking needs to be stopped.This uses batteries and is not rechargeable. However the batteries last for a couple of months, so that's nice.
