Great customer service and product
Great customer service and product
J**.
works great right out of the box!
works just as intended for a great price! i first bought a cheaper brand to try and it was horrible right out of the box. this was and still is functioning GREAT after a month of install. love it

Sensor is not built with high quality in mind for the cost.
I bought this sensor to originally replace a bad sensor that had failed. Upon install, the sensor read 46psi without the engine even running. After warmed up, idle pressures were around 65-70, which is 30psi greater than what my live oil feed gauge reads. Tested wiring directly at the sensor and found that tue sensor was bad, right out of the box. I have contacted AEM and waiting on them to warranty my old sensor, but if I still have issues, I may just run a live feed oil pressure gauge. I guess AEM oil pressure gauges are not very reliable based on multiple forums. Everyone seems to have the same issue, cheaply built sensors.

Good, but expensive and (for me) missing parts
I recently purchased this device to connect to a raspberry pi so that I could monitor the water pressure in my house. The 0 to 100 psi range is ideal for this purpose. (Reminder: on this sensor, pressure is relative to the surrounding air, not absolute.) The sensor I received works and appears to be of reasonable quality. Included in the package is an automotive-quality connector kit (more on this later.) The sensor requires a 5 volt power supply. The signal is read from a single pin that emits a voltage ranging between 0.5 volts (0 psi) and 4.5 volts (100 psi). I hooked this sensor up to the +5v output pin of my raspberry pi, and it appears to behave as expected, emitting a signal voltage between 0.5 and 4.5 volts depending on pressure (which I am currently reading with an MCP3008 ADC.) I am able to successfully power the sensor across about 50 feet of 4-wire cable (using 3 of the 4 wires to carry power + signal). I found that I had to place a 0.1 microfarad cap across the input pin of the MCP3008 to stabilize the signal. (Note: I attribute the need for the cap to the noise generated by the MCP3008 and not the sensor. I also had to do the same for a local TMP36 sensor.) I agree with the other commenter that the documentation in the actual box is a bit light. Luckily, more information about the sensor is available online. Note that you will need a crimper tool (and possibly lots of patience and care) to assemble the connector. Careful not to make any mistakes - no spare pins are included in the kit. I did have one problem with my item, though, and that is why I am only giving this 2 stars. The (included) connector kit that I received contains an incorrect number seals, so I was not able to assemble the connector as described in the assembly instructions. Specifically, the outer seal is missing from the connector, and as a result the connection is not adequately protected from oxidation. I tried to contact the manufacturer to request a replacement seal about a week ago, and have not received a response. -- EDIT: A week or so after posting this, a seal arrived in the mail from AEM. No email response, etc. - it just showed up in the mail. The fit and seal of the connector is now much better, so I'm bumping my review to 4 stars.

OEM part
This sensor replaced a faulty piece and fits with my AEM gauge.

A bit pricey in my opinion.
Great quality, excellent accuracy. My one complaint is that AEM is very proud of them. $65 for a sender unit is absurd, but it was what i needed.

Worked fine to replace my original sensor.

Purchased this product for already too much money in my eyes and had to wait for it to show up. Got in installed and once I got my car finished I tested it and the sensor does not work. Tried a new sensor and it works.
