The Architecture of Maritz & Young: Exceptional Historic Homes of St. Louis

For a book with actual architect's drawings on the cover, the reproduction of the drawings in the book was rather poor. The fact that the cover manages a decent reproduction indicates that they could have done better.

As a young architect growing up in St. Louis, I often wondered who designed these beautiful homes. My aunt lived in a Maritz home on Lindell blvd, but I never knew who designed it. This wonderful book brings clarity and interest to these questions. Dividing the homes into specific neighborhoods also simplifies the search.
