Nice :)
The Acure Simply Smoothing Shampoo is a gentle yet effective option for taming frizz and hydrating dry or damaged hair. Infused with coconut water, it leaves hair feeling soft and manageable without weighing it down. The formula is vegan, paraben-free, and sulfate-free, making it a great choice for those with sensitive scalps or who prefer clean beauty products. It lathers well despite being sulfate-free, and the light scent is refreshing without being overpowering. Both women and men can benefit from its smoothing properties, especially if dealing with frizz or dryness. If you're looking for a nourishing shampoo that aligns with a natural, cruelty-free routine, this one is worth trying. I have a sensitive scalp and the scent lasted quite awhile without irritation!

Great for greasy hair!
With any natural shampoo, you need to know how to properly wash your hair to get the best benefits. Natural shampoos don’t contain emulsifying and foaming agents. I outline the right way to shampoo your hair below, but first, my experience: I have medium fine hair and an oily top with normal ends. I developed an allergy to I believe propylene glycol in my other shampoo and had a very burnt/itchy scalp and hair loss. I searched for hours for a good natural shampoo. I tried Rahua which was fantastic, but SO expensive. Decided to try this one! I wouldn’t recommend for dry hair and would recommend using a conditioner if you have long hair, but great for greasy gals like me! It works so well at breaking up greasiness and left my hair so clean! The photo is next day after sleeping on it wet and air drying. Couldn’t believe the feel, volume, and natural shine. If you need a natural shampoo and are oily and flaky, this is your shampoo. Not to mention how amazing it smells! No fragrances, just natural extracts. If you like orange anything, you’ll like this. HOW TO SHAMPOO RIGHT: 1. Make sure all of your hair is soaked, like super wet. 2. Rub a quarter size amount of shampoo between your hands till it turns white. 3. Apply to your head focusing more on the scalp, and apply in layered sections of you have thick hair. 4. Let it sit for 1-3 minutes (do your other washing/shaving) and then rinse out. 5. Repeat the process (yes, always wash twice!) the second wash will foam up dramatically compared to the first. 6. Let sit 1-3 minutes and wash out thoroughly with cooler water. When you go from using a cheaper shampoo to a nice natural one, you’ll notice a difference. Many complain that they don’t “foam up” but that’s because the first wash is breaking up all the gunk on your head, and the second wash is actually washing! Do yourself and your health a favor, and get acure shampoo!

Awesome if you've had a smoothing treatment
I got a smoothing treatment earlier this year and felt like it I could see more frizz every time I washed my hair, like it was disappearing way too quickly. I knew to use a sulfate free shampoo, but after closely reading the labels on my products, they all still contained some version of sulfate despite being labeled sulfate-free! I googled individual ingredients from my labels and learned I should be avoiding them if I wanted to maintain my smoothing treatment for as long as possible. Also, ever since my smoothing treatment it seemed like my shampoo just wasn't cleaning my hair well, it was always greasy (not at all the case before my smoothing treatment). I kept coming across a couple brands to be best for "smoothed" hair, but they all seemed to have a weird following that simply felt "paid" - like people were sponsoring the same 2 brands being sold as a set. I couldn't tell if the reviews were real and I also didn't want to buy both shampoo/conditioner without really needing them (my conditioner was fine). I stumbled across this shampoo being touted as very natural and having great reviews. Since I was familiar with the brand, it was affordable, and I could easily buy just the shampoo, I figured it was low-risk to try it. First, it lathers great for a sulfate-free product, definitely lathers more than my last shampoo. It smells great, but I only smell it in the shower. Not sure if I wish it would linger as my hair dried or not, but that's not a priority anyway - just noting it if that matters to anyone. My hair finally felt clean after this, for the first time after maybe 3 weeks of my other shampoo(s), this truly cut through all the oil in my hair. And now after using this for a full month, my smoothing treatment is going strong. I'm not seeing the same immediate wash-out I was feeling with my prior shampoo. I also think it's possible that the smoothing component of this shampoo could be masking the expected fade-out of my smoothing treatment, but that's a great thing! After 8 weeks since my treatment, I'm still able to air dry my hair with no frizz. I think my treatment is quoted to last 3-4 months so I'm curious to see how it responds with continued use of this shampoo. Maybe as my treatment dissipates this shampoo will prove to manage the frizz well enough that I won't need to repeat the smoothing treatment. When I run out of my existing conditioner, I'll likely buy the one from Accure since I like the shampoo so much. Oh and the packaging is fab, it looks like a Pantone chip!

Great product, poor packaging
I love the product but the giant paper sticker on the back of the shampoo is so annoying. You can’t really peel it off without tearing and leaving a sticky mess but when you put it in the shower it falls apart leaving paper pieces everywhere!

Great shampoo for my hair!
I love this shampoo! Feels great on my hair. I’m an oily scalp/dry ends type. This stuff gets my hair clean! I love the scent, a very tolerable subtle scent & that is appealing. My hair feels clean after each use & is rejuvenated. My hair goes from oily, limp & dull to shiny, soft, fluffy, manageable & healthy. :) love love love it. The only con with this shampoo is that it lacks a lather, so a double wash is needed to really get a good lather in. However, that is expected with a “clean” shampoo like Acure. I don’t mind a double wash & it’s doable, so there’s that. Overall, one of the best “clean” shampoos on the market! Give it a try!

One good, the other, not so much
I like the fact that these are unscented. Conditioner is good, and does not leave hair greasy. Shampoo, though, is too drying.

Amazing shampoo and I'm picky for I have sensitive skin, hair and scalp. My curly hair craves moisture and this specific brand and ingredients gives the right amount without irritation or shedding. I just only with they would make the conditioner clean without "Isopropyl Alcohol". Stop putting this ingredients in your conditioners guys. Disappointing 😞
