Great for plasma cutting. Careful using them for everything else
I bought these to use with a plasma cutter and they were great. I'm leaving the review because I'm seeing others talking about using them for solar eclipses and driving and that's the bad idea. It might work okay for solar eclipse, but NASA recommends you use a stronger lens. They are barely enough for plasma cutting. Definitely don't use it for driving. I did it once just because they were sitting there. Sure they blocked out the sun really well, they also blocked out all the red from the color spectrum. Red light from stop lights and the brake lights just look black. You won't know what color the traffic light is or that someone is braking in front of you. Don't use these for driving...

Very sturdy and clear view through the glasses, even with the green tint! They’re also very light weight, and don’t hurt the back our your ears after wearing them for awhile!

Easy, affordable, look fine for garage use.
Not super dark but should be ok for sloppy rookie welds on a small stick machine like mine …… just hold things together. No more no less. Lol.

Says right on a sticker on the lens. I am grateful they did but I wish they spelled that out in the description ahead of time. Returning.

Not Oakleys but who cares
These shades work perfectly for use in the shop and are great protection from gas torch and plasma cutter work. And added benefit is the eye protection from flying debris when grinding. Not too dark like a welding lense but adequate for torch use. I’m pleased!
