Great pen
These are not the cheapest pens but I know it will write when I need it. The green is more a pastel green. I had an orange one for 5+ years before I lost it. Thought I would try a different color. I like the feel of the metal pen vs plastic and I know it is more durable.

Great Made in USA product
Great simple and reliable old school ball-point pent that writes smoothly in a variety of scenarios. Plus it's made in the USA. I bought several and keep them in truck, briefcase, desk at work, and in the garage. They just work.

Beautiful, well-balanced, and practical pen
This pen exceeded my expectations. I love the space pen ink cartridges because they are so durable and useful, but I wanted a pen I could enjoy using daily that wasn't too heavy and was metal. This is my new favorite pen. The weight is perfect to carry, it is just the right size, it is a clicker pen which is easier to use, and it is beautiful. Don't listen to the reviewers giving bad reviews for the 'oxidation' that occurs a couple days after you remove it from the box. This is raw brass - this is expected. Anyone who is upset about this process simply didn't understand what they were buying. If you want a perfectly polished pen to leave on your desk for everyone to see how much money you're willing to drop on a pen, look elsewhere. This is a working person's pen that you can throw in your pocket and always trust to work.

Read the description!
People, those that are complaining about the shiny brass fading, they tell you that's going to happen in the product description. For some like myself and others, that's part of the charm of the raw brass. I happen to like the way it looks. I carry a bullet pen in my pocket every day and got one of these just for work. They aren't the smoothest writing pen with the best depth in color for ink. That's not the point of these pens. They're meant for work and they always do, no matter the situation or position. That's not to say they don't write nicely. They do pretty well but if writing nice and having the best color are important to you, there are better options.

Great pen, display box is not a gift box
For some reason, gel pens never work for me and many ballpoints are problematic. The Fisher Space Pen solves all of those problems. You never have to start it — apply pen to paper and it just goes. Firm, solid metal construction with a nice clip that shouldn’t wear out.If yo have big hands like I, you may want the pen to have a fuller profile. Fortunately, Fisher makes a refill that comes with an adapter allowing it to fit any pen that takes a Parker refill (most ballpoint pens do but check anyway). Some would like the ink to be darker. I can see that but it’s not a concern of mine.Unlike the description, it comes in a display box. Not a concern for me since I bought it for myself but if I was presenting it, I’d want a nicer box.

It's the perfect pen to keep in your car
Someone gave me one of these Fisher Space Pens as a gift and I like mine so much that I now give them out as gifts as well. I keep mine in my car. This is the perfect pen for that since the interior of the car can range from blazing hot in the summer to freezing cold in the winter. No other pen can survive that environment. It's not a problem for this Fisher Space Pen, it writes perfectly no matter how hot or cold. They say that this pen can even write under water. I haven't tested that and I hope I never will since I'm not a diver. This is a click action pen. Press the top cap of the pen once to open and press once again to close. It can feel a bit mushy compared to other click pens, but hey, it works. In any case, I've had mine for years, still the original ink cartridge, and the ink hasn't dried out. If I were ever to lose mine, I'd definitely buy another one.

Pen writes worse than a cheap Bic Pen - skips, globs, clicker rides down hand, poor clip
I heard lots of good things about this pen, so I was surprised to find that this pen was worse than a cheap Bic that you can buy for under a dollar.Pros:- It does seem to be able to write on a variety of surfaces unlike a regular penCons:- It writes very poorly and skips often. I generally used Bic ballpoint pens before (Round Stics that cost ~$5 for a large pack) and those write significantly better. I have switched back to those since this pen writes so poorly.- You have to press hard and have an unnatural vertical writing angle for the ink to come out- After about 2 months, not only does it continue skipping, but it also started to get large ink globs coming out that would bleed through the paper- The design of the clicker and size of the pen causes the top part of the pen to ride down your hand as you write due to friction with your hand until it periodically pops back up (it's a bit hard to explain this in text, but you'll probably notice it as you write). This doesn't prevent you from writing, but it's an annoying feeling that I've never experienced with any other pen- The clip is extremely tight and won't clip onto anything that's not super thin - it can barely clip onto the small "change" pocket on jeans and can't clip onto a regular jeans pocket at all

It's always easy to find. It's Fisher quality. What more could you want. Needless to say, you can put whatever coloured refills you want in it. I think it came with black.

One of the best Fisher Space pens ever!
I have this pen since a couple of days and sincerely, I don't understand why so many people complain in their reviews, this pen is according to me a must have, first for the brass material, which is also anti-microbial and protects your skin, but you cannot imagine what this pen becomes after a couple of days in your hands! It turns out in such a beautiful patina that makes it so personal and beautiful, people that complains about the pen changing colors, I suggest to get more informations about how brass works before spitroasting a product with negative reviews because of your ignorance! Brass and copper have been used also in kitchenware for centuries because of their anti-microbial properties, so why getting mad at something that in a natural way, even not touching, changes of color because of the metal properties??? The pen is superb now, I will post a picture later to show how beautiful has become and also the other two bullet pens I own from Fisher have become really beautiful with time and use! The cartridge i unbeatable and writes very smooth without skipping on the paper, Fisher quality as always promised! If you like it don't hesitate and if you don't want this version, just choose the lacquered one, it will always stay in his original gold color because of the lacquer and you will not complain. I never believed that someone was able to put a foot on the moon, surely not Paul Fisher, but this pen and its cartridge are anyway the best invention ever in the stationery world!
