HER STORY IS FINALLY TOLD!
How tragic it is that a beautiful and innocent child has her life stolen by a known pedophile who is left free to abuse others. The HCM may not have faced justice during his lifetime but now, because of two determined and tenacious women, his deeds may be known to all. I do find it quite amusing that one of these women bears the last name of Justice. How befitting! The authors take a difficult story and subject matter and because of one's memory and the other's exhaustive research, little Alice's story is finally told! The novel also shares many of the personal struggles known by those living in the late 1800's and throughout the mid 1900's. Many of the challenges faced while these families moved west on the Oregon Trail, life through the Great Depression and two great wars are shared. The author dares to delve into the warped mind of a psychopathic pedophile and yet also the sorrows of those who loved him. Threaded throughout the novel, the Truth of God's word, His love, mercy and strength are leaned upon by many of the characters and beautifully shared by the author. Alice Lee was failed by many people who refused to speak up, by law enforcement, medical doctors, the justice system and yes, even the church. It is not only sad but very sickening that so many disciplines could fail one small child and her family. Fortunately, we can all learn from the mistakes of others and A!ice Lee can see, 60 years later, that she still has not been forgotten!

I could not finish the book, not because I did not like the book it was too much information, my heart broke for the little girl ( my friend ) that lived on the bean farm with her family, she went through such a horrible experience with so much fear, was she next?

Well written expose’
I found this book very well written and hard to put down! The failure of people to disclose any information that may have saved Alice was frustrating. The history of the ancestors was very enlightening and revealed struggles. The research that went into writing this book was amazing! I would highly recommend this book for multiple reasons. Hopefully it will make many more aware of these pedophiles who continue to lurk.

The Handy Candy Man
I've been acquainted with this author for many years and have had the opportunity to listen to her teach the word . I've always been intrigued by her ability to make the word come alive. I was privileged to read a few chapters in the infancy of this book. I was captivated from it's beginning and once it was published I hastily bought my copy and continue to be impressed by the author's ability to allow us to see the characters as they lived in the sixties and before . The characters are brought to life with such detail you will be swept into their world.

Case Solved! A well-researched look at, and solution to, a 1960 cold case murder.
This book provides a well-researched and reasoned roadmap to the identity of the killer in the 1960 cold case of Alice L. Lee. It is a tragic tale made even more horrendous by the complicity of numerous respected community members along the way who failed to stop a known pedophile before it was too late. The authors do a thorough job of uncovering the story. Give it a read.

Well written account of a cold case that was finally solved.
It is amazing how much research was done to get to the bottom of this mystery that was for so long unsolved. I hope this will serve to bring awareness to an awful reality in so many young lives. I found this story riveting and difficult to put down.
