1920x1080 is the highest it will supports.

How can I get rid of the distorted picture? At the top of the page, I have squiggly lines

It may be due to your input voltage, that’s usually what causes squiggly lines. Maybe check the voltage coming out of the power adapter with a multi meter set to DC and verify it meets the input requirements of the converter. Another culprit can be the cables. Swap out the HDMI, if that doesn’t fix it, try new component video cables, any signal loss can also cause those lines.

Do these still support 480i interlaced output or has it been removed?

I believe it supports both 480p & 480i the product description should clarify this.
