This tape is also good if you need to leave behind secret messages around ...
Its tape, its blue, and most importantly it releases from surfaces without leaving behind and glue. This tape is also good if you need to leave behind secret messages around the house, in the car, or at the office, you just need a pen. Its not my business as to why you're buying this tape to leave secret messages. It really isn't. I once came across one of these secret messages on a bagged sandwich in my office fridge. It said "Dan". I may never know what that message means, but clearly it wasn't a message for me.The duck flies at midnight.

Best painting tape
I decided to paint a wall to look like Buffalo Plaid. Hot tip - don't do that. I ordered a couple rolls of this Duck brand tape. Well turns out it takes like 6 1/2 rolls of tape to paint a buffalo plaid wall. I couldn't find this brand at my local hardware store, so had to get a different brand. The Duck brand was hands down the better tape. Better adhesion. Less difficulty in applying to the wall. Way easier to remove once done. I would strongly recommend this tape.

Hands Down the best painter's tape!
We renovated a home and painted EVERYTHING, ceiling, trim, and walls. We had only one instance of this tape pulling paint off the wall and that was where we had patched a hole and painted it the day prior. The spackle we used did not cure completely before we painted, so I do not blame the tape. Otherwise, we were able to use this tape immediately on freshly dried paint without any issues. This was very important given that we were painting walls and ceilings. The tape did excellent at the line between ceiling and wall and consistently gave a clean line when pulled off. While the tape did pull a few pieces of popcorn off the ceiling, that is to be expected with any painter's tape.Taping is your friend. Taping properly - affixing the tape in straight lines and pressing it firmly down prior to painting) - provides crisp clean lines that look soooo much better than freehand painting. Yes it takes some time, and when painting an entire room, it may feel as though taping takes longer than painting. But with this tape, you will not have bleeding paint under the tape and it will look as though you paid a professional to do the work.

Worked great!
I purchased 2 packs in preparation to paint a large living room. It worked great and was easy to apply. Try to use 1long strip of tape for each part of the wall. It allows for easy removal. After each second coat of paint, remove the tape right away. It came off easily with little tearing. Each roll of tape can definitely do a room. As you can probably tell in the pictures, I did to repaint the accent wall. After taping and painting the ceiling, 3 walls, and an accent wall (x2), I have used up almost 3 rolls of tape. Very pleased.

Very adhesive right width
I use this stuff all the time. Found it at a better price here than at local stores by a little bit and bought it through Amazon. This tends to be the brand that I like because it has good adhesion and lasts well. Other expensive brands say they “lock” the edge but I find that to be misleading, and they usually don’t hold as well. This can handle a variety of tasks. This time we used it to specifically hold up 3mil plastic sheeting hanging from our ceiling and it easily held the weight. In fact, after removing, it even peeled some of the paint came off with it (I fault myself, not the product)! I’d rather have that though than tape that came loose. This held up to wind and whatnot as well.I recommend this width for painters tape because of its versatility and ease of use vs smaller widths (like one inch). Great stuff and is one of those things we always like to keep on hand. Highly recommend.

Good value for the price
This tape did just what it was supposed to. Worked well and was comparable to the more expensive scotch brand I usually purchase. We used this Not only for painting trim, but also for taping paper/plastic to painted ceilings/walls, finished wood flooring, and brand new kitchen cabinets to protect them when we sanded and stained our concrete countertops. The tape didn’t damage our cabinets or floors and didn’t pull any paint off the ceilings or wall. Would definitely recommend.

1.88" x 60 yards, 14-day Clean Removal, Medium Adhesion, UV Resistant, opaque blue Painter's Tape
Don't believe the hysterical, negative comments that say that this tape doesn't stick at all. These hysterical people are either trying to sell more Scotch brand masking tapes, which tend to sell at a slightly higher price than DUCK brand, or they simply didn't read the instructions about what this tape is for.I would estimate that this DUCK Painter's Tape has about 70% of the adhesive strength of the cheapest, ivory-colored masking tapes. In exchange for this loss of adhesive strength, we get a longer shelf life, both on the roll and after it is applied. Also, it's a little easier to remove. The opaque dark blue color can be a disadvantage if you are using this tape to pick up dust, hair, dead insects, or other debris from the floor, carpet, table, or bed. The ivory-colored masking tapes are better for that purpose because the opaque dark blue color will tend to conceal whatever you picked up.

Sticky enough to do the job - but not so sticky as to make trouble
This is my favourite tape for watercolor painting; I use it to tape down edges, and it never tears up the paper. Other brands I've used in the past which don't tear the paper can have issues with peeling off as a result of not being sticky enough, but I haven't had that issue with this brand, which seems to strike a happy medium between sticky and durable, without being obnoxious. I intend to purchase exclusively moving forward. Very satisfied! It's also good for walls, and doesn't tear up the paint, which may be another reason why you're looking to buy this.
