This product was easy to assemble, consisting of the globe, the stand (a shaped, wooden dowel), and a metal base. Everything screwed simply into each other.It seems well-made, but I’ve only had it a few days. It also comes with a guarantee that if the globe changes (countries, borders, etc.), Replogle will replace your globe at a 50% discount, which is a nice touch.It stands slightly shorter than I wanted (it states dimensions in the description so I did know how tall it would be), but for the price I’m still very pleased with this purchase. We have a number of geographic atlases to see more detailed information about an area, but a well-made globe at a reasonable price (which this product is) is worth the investment so children can place a site or area of study in relation to where they themselves live or have traveled.As an aside, the globe arrived in ingenious cardboard packaging that protected it well in transit - no styrofoam! That was an added bonus, as styrofoam is such a nuisance.

My granddaughter loves it. She big into geography, so it helps her in school.

Very nice globe. Howeve, it brok now after only 5 months where the globe joins the pole. It was difficult to keep tight too. About to trash it. But was good for use at Summer VBS.

Perfect for the price! Not too hard to assemble. Easy to read with light on! It has no balance r problems, which I was afraid of. We keep it lit up sometimes just because it is beautiful!

I recommend buying a lighted magnifying glass to accompany it.

The product is a disappointment and way, way overpriced for the poor quality.The wood stand feels unfinished, and it's very flimsy. I'm afraid to leave it around my kids,since they will be playing with it and knocking it over, because the globe wobbles when touched.Frankly, I would return it, but I already threw part of the packing away. I may return it anyway.

I was very pleased to find a globe that could both rotate freely in multiple directions AND be lit from the interior. Plus it was priced reasonably to have both features that I wanted.

I like that it is freestanding, but actually find it too small to see the names. Also was expensive for what you get
