This Bible is beautiful! I enjoy verse mapping. I like the margins they give you to take notes as well.

I really like this bible. There is plenty of room for journaling which is what I wanted. I was a little disappointed to find out it is an updated version of NIV. This in no way detracts from this bible, I use several versions in my studies. I just wish I had known that. If you are looking for a bible that has plenty of Journaling and mapping space you will not be disappointed.

Wow! I wanted to have a deeper Bible experience without being overwhelmed. This is perfect!! I have been in church all my life and read the Bible but it is coming to life in a whole new way. Love it!

Received used book. Whoever had it wrote their name and whited it out. Not in love yet but just beginning

The print is too small for me sloppy done pages are crooked . Look as a if someone rushed to make it .I don’t like they lay out had better bibles for way less money…sent it back

I have recently discovered verse mapping, and I am very excited to add this strategy to my Bible study time. I love digging deeper, doing word studies, and using different translations.There are five steps to verse mapping. First, you choose a verse and write it out. Then, you look up the verse in two or three different translations and underline key words that you notice. Next, you look up the Hebrew and Greek meanings for the words that you underlined. After that, ask yourself questions such as what would it have been like to experience what you are reading firsthand. Read the verses surrounding the verse you read, and dig deeper using other study resources. Finally, ask yourself what God is saying and how the verse relates to your life.The Verse Mapping Bible is in the New International Version. I have the navy floral leathersoft cover, and it is beautiful. It has a textured floral pattern on the front cover, with a smooth tan leathersoft spine and back cover. The spine has “NIV Verse Mapping Bible”, “NIV”, and “Zondervan” on it. It has navy perimeter stitching, and a sewn binding. It has two ribbons in navy blue and silver. It has silver art gilding and a sewn binding.The Bible starts out with a presentation page, table of contents, list of books of the Bible, a letter from the Editor, instructions on how to verse map, and a preface. There is a book introduction for each book of the Bible, and each includes the author, date written, when it takes place, themes, and a 1-2 paragraph introduction. The scripture text is a double column format in an 8 point font. The font is the NIV comfort print, and that is the one thing that I do not like about this Bible. I’m not a big fan of the NIV comfort print, especially the way that some of the letter do not seem to connect all of the way. This may not bother you though, so just be sure to look up some sample pages before you purchase the Bible. The NKJV comfort print is my favorite, so I may be a little spoiled from that!I am anxious to get started with verse mapping using these valuable resources! I think that verse mapping will be a great way to dig deeper into God’s word, and helpful in understanding the meaning, context, and application of scripture.I received a copy of this Bible from Zondervan, in return for an honest review.
