Probably more of a biology bag and not a geology bag. Would do well for geography even. But not geology.

No they are different generations. The new more expensive pack has the lighter magnesium frame and the lighter new KXO 50 fabric. It’s also bigger with like a detachable spotting scope pocket and maybe some different other pocket options. That’s ridiculous that someone would say it’s the camo pattern.
