RGBZONE 4 Pin WiFi RGB LED Controller, RF Wireless Remote Control, DC 5V/12V/24V for 5050 3528 5630 RGB LED Strip Lights, Compatible with Alexa Google Home IFTTT

My spare dual row 5050 RGB LED strip needed a controller to operate the various colors and display modes. More importantly, I wanted an RF (Radio Frequency) remote and a mobile app that functioned with the controller to give me more flexibility in controlling the light scenes. This package gave me all of the above, and as a bonus works with a variety of power supplies, voltages and current, sufficient to drive a long LED strip without loss of power & subsequent dimming etc. Should I later choose to use this with a different LED strip there will be no difficulty due to the broad range of specifications. This is rated for a number of different sizes and types of LEDs including my more robust setup of a 5-meter, dual-row 5050 RGB LED strip which requires higher current and power. Using my own 12v 4amp power supply I plugged this into my LED strip and it worked immediately. On the back of the controller unit is a QR code that I scanned to download a free app for remote operation via my mobile device. The app was easy to download and operate without my even reading instructions. For the included 24-button handheld remote I did have to provide my own battery, but this was correctly noted in the product description so I was expecting this and had the battery ready to insert. No issues with the remote. What I love about the package are the numerous ways I can configure the colors and display patterns. Each setting can be operated from either the handheld remote or the mobile app and are very intuitive. Brightness settings work well too in addition to the color alternating and flashing options that are native to the controller. A MUST HAVE feature is the ability to work and integrate with Alexa and Google voice operated apps and scenes. This was easy to configure on my mobile device with Alexa and the app allowing me to add this to customized scenes withing Alexa. Even though the package did not include a power supply or remote battery I find the value to be very much worth the cost due to the power options and the variety of LED type options this works with. I'm very happy with this unit and will likely purchase more in the future for other projects.

The LED controller in my wall sign stopped working completely, nothing no lights. I did have some response trouble with it since I bought it, so I replaced it with this since it looked the same. It was simple to connect and worked perfect. The LEDS seem brighter and the response is great unlike the original. The only problem is that two are the colors are switched around. I started to unsolder and switch the two wires, but all the other functions work, and I can still get static colors, it just doesn't match the keypad colors. It was worth the price than replacing the sign.

I bought this along with the receiver to replace the same parts for my under the counter kitchen lights. Worked perfectly! Saved me a lot ot money in replacement costs.

Beware. The one I got had a smaller center pin for power than is standard on any others I've bought that use a 12v power supply. Long and short, after I found a way to adapt the plug to my power supply. It also shipped Not paired to the remote, which is good that it can, but unless you look in the instructions and follow the procedure "press power and mode switch at the same time" to unpair it, it will stay in demo mode. Once I unpaired it ( a last ditch effort to get it to work), it worked fine. So 1 star off for the power plug, and 1 star off for not pairing or at least leaving remote unpaired & also not being explicit as to this is a necessary setup step.

The biggest problem I have wit this is the remote control. Radio remote has the advantage that does not need the line of sight, like the IR version, so I could hide it under the bed and not care where it is when I hit a button. However the IR version and this RF version ones receive signal from any remote controller (be prepared for fancy out of control light show if you use your TV remote in the same room as on of the IR ones). The IR has to be in the same room and in line of sight, but not the RF. This means this better be the only one of its kind in the neighborhood. Range is not that far, but I had to decide between having the radio one in the 1st floor or second floor since pressing a button anywhere in the room activated or messed with both of them. Other than that, this thing works. Only has few colors so is not as fancy as one with larger remote with many more colors and DYI memory options, but this is even cheaper than those, and has been working reliably so far (and tiny that I can hide it inline with the strip).

I may have misread the description as I didn't need a continuous 32 foot light string for the area I intended to illuminate. I ordered a power adapter and remote separately and was able to use the 2nd half (16 feet) where I had planned. If and when it ever becomes wifi controllable it will be a remarkable product, otherwise it works fine, has a dimmer and speed control for the pre-set functions.

Just use caution there is no short circuit protection if there is led or wiring failure. Driver transistors will fail causing it to stay open making that channel(Colour) stay on
