Koldfront PAC10013CBL - Portable Air Conditioners

Bought this for my son after his last unit failed. He has lots of computer equipment which generate a lot of heat and needs additional cooling. All I've heard since he plugged it in is how well this cools the room and he now has to turn it off when it gets too cold. It's a good unit.

PROS:I've been using it for about 2 weeks and it's been doing a good job of keeping a 250+ square foot room with high ceilings cool at night. Setup was easy, as are the controls. It's as noisy as an average window unit.CONS:It's not as powerful as a regular window unit but that was not an option in this room. It has reached the desired temperature (65 degrees) most nights but it takes a little while to get there. Turning the unit on at 8pm when the room might be 76, it will reach 65 around 11pm. A couple nights it was over 90 outside with high humidity and it couldn't get the room any cooler than 70 but that was still a noticeable relief.Overall I am happy with the purchase.

At first it was noisy because it took me a while to get the unit level. As you can see from the pic I uploaded I stuck a wooden coaster under the left side of the unit to level it off. It does say in the instruction manual to be sure the unit is level when using, so fair enough!Once set up properly it works great. The room it is in is about medium sized, but I can tell this could cool off a much larger room as well.A bit of a set-up but once installed very nice unit.

Would order again, keeps the room cold just the way I like it. Only thing was the duct window attachments didn't fit in the standard window. We had to cut it to size to make it fit in the window. Once that was done all is good. Happy with this product

Great value. You get exactly what is described. Whisper quiet is an understatement. Easy to put together and use quickly. I’m impressed. That’s saying something cuz I’m not easily impressed. Yes....it cools great. Livingroom is open to kitchen/dining room, so a little more area to cool than stated.......BUT......it dropped the temperature by 5 degrees in two minutes. Worth every penny. I also bought a 4 yrs warranty to cover my investment.Yes, it’s easy to move around.....a little tougher on thick pile carpet, but it still moves.

People complaining about the noise level are being ridiculous. This has a white noise better than most motels. If you have to sleep in silence, don’t buy this for your room, but it’s not that loud at all. It keeps my master bedroom very cool. The only complaint I have is the vents only adjust side to side. Not up and down, so it blows right at my bed. I can’t reposition in my room unfortunately. Luckily for me, it’s in my wife’s side 😄 Kicks butt tho!

I received the AC unit quickly. However, in the packaging from the manufacturer I received 2 of the same part, so I am missing the AC window vent. Kind of frustrating, I am awaiting the seller to contact me to see what I can do. I did get it quickly, so it's just an issue with the manufacturer. I'll update the rating when this is resolved.The unit itself is quiet for the AC, but mine had a loud rattle. I fixed that, the outside plastic is of low quality and was reverberating on the exchanger. I was able to correct, however that initial quality with the improper part on packaging makes me worry about quality control with the brand itself.

Easy to set up and cools a room quickly! The noise level is a little louder than expected, but it doesn't keep me awake. It's a nice looming unit, too.
