I have eight Quantum reels that I have used for over 20 years. I have never had a moments worth of trouble from any of them. I have just received two Smoke S3 100 series baitcasters. They are everything that the ad says they are. I’m very happy about this purchase and like the smaller size. Fits my hand better. It runs smoothly and the settings are positive. I paired them up with two 6’6” new Ugly Stik Carbon. Great reel and great rod.

I've fished bass tournaments for years, my first baitcaster I bought was a quantum in 1996, still use it today! I own several brands but quantum is still up at the top for me, they are smooth and last forever!

in my opinion an average reel, nothing special. you must thumb the reel to keep from backlashing

I bought one of these from The Big box store a while ago and lost it to a near Miss boating accident with a dumb sailboat person on the lake and my rod and reel went overboard. After doing the research I had on this real I knew that others with that compared to this one. Nevertheless supply chain disruptions made it to where I could not find it anywhere except here on amazon. So I bought it again and happy with it.
