Tincture-tastic!
This took me back! Time was that I used to make my own tinctures to help with motion sickness. After this wonderful experience, I reckon I'll have to pick up a bottle of Urban Moonshine's "Calm Tummy" tincture to see how it compares. By all accounts this is a high-quality product, right down to the ingredient sourcing information available on their website. "Simmer Down" features a solid assortment of herbs and did, for me, seem to mellow me out a bit. Not that you ingest this stuff for the flavor, but I would be remised if I didn't at least touch on that aspect as it may be potentially off-putting for some. You've gotta like bitter or you're not going to like this. Looking past the bitter, I mostly get stuck on these mild minty, almost pesto-like notes. 45-50% ABV, so expect a bit of burn if you are taking this sublingually. Me, I'll stick to back of the tongue or added to a tea.

Premium supplement
Just 2 doses and I am already ready to sing its praises. I had a very stressful week, the whole week. I ordered this for times when calming is needed from occasional stress/irritability. This adaptogenic tonic soothed my feeling of nervousness and stress. Just clean calmness. No jittery feelings. Just calm and sense of well-being. I like that it's in an amber, glass bottle. Ashwagandha and Milky Oats....premium. I placed under my tongue for 30 seconds before swallowing. Not a bad taste. I will order again and tell family and friends about it. Less than $30, it's not a bad price either. But please, do your own research and consult with your own Healthcare provider before taking any supplement.

calming, better tasting as tea, & harvested in the US
Had to google this brand just to find info on their manufacturing and harvesting locations since its Amazon product page was lacking this info. Even on their website, this info was difficult to find. It wasn't until I looked at this brand's team that I deducted that like they're based somewhere in northeastern US. Their herbs are specified as coming from the northeast US and Pacific northwest. That's a relief to know that. Wished this info was specified on this Amazon product details. This particular blend of ashwaganda, skullcap, tulsi, and oats is better taken with water, especially as tea. It has a kick to it, when taken by itself. It does seem to work in calming me down. Feeling more mellow after drinking it. Really like the clean taste and quality of this tincture. Recommended.

Rough Taste, Instructions Unclear
This seems like a really quality product, but either im doing it wrong or its not for me. The taste is super strong. I did not expect it to be like 50% alcohol so be ready because it's like taking a shot and has a sting. The surprising alcohol burn was the opposite of tranquil. The instructions were a bit unclear too for anyone new to this type of thing. Take 5ml or (5 droppers) of it makes sense, but how. I know these are usually just put under or onto the tongue, but with the alcohol burn i started to question if that was right or if it was meant to be mixed. Ended up looking through their instagram until i saw a lady in fact putting it under her tongue. I was only able to take about 2 droppers in a sitting, not 5. The taste just wasn't great for me. 5 seems like a lot. Other than that though, the taste once you get passed the alcohol is pretty strong botanically so i can definitely tell the ingredients are fresh and concentrated.

Simmering Down
I first heard about Urban Moonshine when they came out with the digestive bitters a while back. I really enjoyed the digestive bitters and was happy to see they have a lot of different products, including this one! What I can say is that it can make me really sleepy. I have tried it in a work situation to try to take the stress down a notch and while it does do that, it can make me too low energy. It works great in the evening, sometimes I just squirt some in an tea and it helps me simmer down.

Taste is overwhelmingly bad
Maybe I’m doing this wrong, but this calls for 5 droppers of the stuff as a serving. I could barely get past two and then spent the evening in unbelievable intestinal pain. I never ever write bad reviews and perhaps it is my fault for trying this and someone more familiar with the ingredients would have known. Just not for me but one the positive side, this is very securely packaged with clear to read labeling and it’s obviously a high quality product.

Effective and high quality
Decided to try Urban Moonshine for relaxation; after trying it, I feel a bit simmered. Not an overwhelming response but just enough. It doesn’t taste great. I used a dropper full under my tongue. Immediately it tastes sweet like a berry (which is nice), but then it has a tingly heat, possibly from the alcohol content??? Not sure what it’s from (but I didn’t like the bitter flavor). As it dissipates and is absorbed, I feel a gently calm warmth. So it’s effective. And it’s a brand I trust as it’s sold at stores I shop at. And it’s sourced from local farms so I trust the ingredients are high quality. Glad I tried this.
