In 1998, members of the Valley kibbutz movement decided not to give in to the seasonality in the agricultural sector, and build a plant that could provide work to friends in the months which is less than required in agriculture. Factory investing heavily in the development system a breakthrough came in 2001, when the plant launched a chilled cucumber. This system pickled cucumbers without pasteurization materials, which tastes very similar to that of home-made pickles. The product was very successful. Since the establishment of the Kibbutz Beit system preserving olives and cucumbers has added various other vegetables, serving Jews and Israelis around the world.
