My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (Three Movie Gift Set)

I was not expecting a surprise photo when I got it. At first I thought it was something else till I recognized the iconic Twilight Sparkle. The quality of the movies are fantastic and I’m in love with the commentary added. Makes the movie so much more funnier.

I may be late but I’ve been a Brony (which is actually what they call young adult MEN including me AND middle-aged MEN fans of the My Little Pony franchise just like me) since July 2017 (something I should’ve done a long time ago but then of course, I eventually caught up and eventually saw EVERYTHING) and I absolutely LOVE the human version 👫 My Little Pony: Equestria Girls (I also still have the TV show called Friendship Is Magic Seasons 1-7 ALL ON DVD to this day AND I also still have the 2017 movie ON Blu-Ray to this day PLUS I EVEN got my pre-ordered copy of Friendship Is Magic Season 7/Seven EVEN ON DVD from Amazon the day it came out five months ago as well)! Especially my all-time favorite pony characters (for example: Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Princess Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Applejack and Rarity)! IF you’re a Brony just like me, then the 2017 movie, the human version 👫 called Equestria Girls AND the TV show Friendship Is Magic Seasons 1-8 are ALL probably for you (I said “probably”)! #Brony #Bronies 😄👍🦄😃👍🦄😄👍🦄👍😃👍🦄😄👍🦄😃👍🦄

I don't particularly care for MLP. I'd seen the Equestria Girls dolls long before I knew about the movies and wasn't impressed. I don't have anything against either, or their fans, but it wasn't for me. But then my (at the time 5 year old) son found short music videos for one of the movies on YouTube and was instantly hooked, and I always encourage his interests so I got this collection for him for Christmas. His favorite is the one about the singing contest, but he really enjoys the whole set. Bonus, it's not intolerable and some of the songs are catchy enough that I've downloaded them on iTunes for his in-car playlist and I don't want to smash my face into the windshield repeatedly.

I watched all of the Equestria Girls movies online except for Friendship Games and so far Rainbow Rocks is my favorite. I am a collector and I also wanted to watch the new movie that came out. I saw this trilogy pack and I was like "SO AWESOME!!!" so I ordered it. The front logo is holographic which is cool and it comes with the three films in separate boxes that fit into the paper cover. It only comes with the standard DVD (no Bluray) but that's fine. All in all though, definitely worth a buy considering it's less than $20 and you get three MLP EG movies. :)

This is a great set. You get all three Equestria Girl Movies: Equestria Girls, Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games. My kids love Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games. They seem to get the most play time. I wish they had come with a digital copy for travel. Right now all three are available on Netflix, so that helps. They include fun extras like a sing-a-long on the dvd. The discs are in heavy rotation at my house. Both the kiddos love the songs.

If you love My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and can get past the fact that there are now humanoid versions of all of them, (don't worry, it doesn't effect the cannon of the original show) then this is a great set to buy! 3 movies in one, and honestly I would recommend buying them since Equestria Girls is no longer on Netflix, and I'm sure in time Rainbow Rocks and The Friendship Games will be taken down as well. So this is very simple, 3 movies, 3 discs, 3 movie covers. All fine, except...there are no subtitles available for these movies. So if subtitles are a must for you or even an option you like having, this is something to consider. Honestly, this is what knocked off one star from my review. Subtitles are so very necessary for many people, and the fact that none of these movies have any really is surprising, and all be it disappointing. That aside, if you like My Little Pony, you might want to check these out!

My little one loves this show. Its a great deal because you get 3 movies for a great price.
