Fit Perfectly and Do Their Job Perfectly, Too. Overpriced, However.
These dummy batteries fit perfectly and do their function just as perfectly. My wife picked one up after I unpacked the set from the box and asked why it was so lightweight. I told her it is just an empty shell with a wire going from one end to the other. Anticipating her next question I explained it is to cut the voltage in half with pairs of rechargeable lithium batteries. A new alkaline battery is typically about 1.6 Volts and a non-rechargeable lithium battery is about 1.85 volts. Most all electronics will handle non-rechargeable 1.85 volt batteries. The rechargeable lithium batteries are 3.7 volts, exactly twice as much voltage as a non-rechargeable lithium battery. It makes me wonder why they can't create a rechargeable lithium battery that is 1.85 volts, just like the non-rechargeable versions. But there is probably a good technical reason why it's not available on the market. In the meantime, the 3.7-volt rechargeable lithium batteries are abundantly available along with universal chargers. There's somewhat of a startup investment to take advantage of this method of switching from pairs of standard non-rechargeable batteries to rechargeable batteries. These dummy batteries are vastly overpriced, but they are not in full production quantities yet - still waiting for the demand to catch up.The same scheme is available for AAA batteries as well. I bought some AAA rechargeable lithium batteries with a regulating circuit in the end that made it 2 mm longer than a standard AAA battery thinking the spring would allow the extra length. I was wrong - too long. Now I need to buy some AAA batteries that are standard length. They won't have the safety circuit, but they will fit. The AAA version of this dummy battery was exactly correct of course - just the battery was the problem. I won't buy any more batteries that are 2 mm too long. They are useless if they won't fit - cost quite a lot extra, too. I'll probably find a place I can use the extra long batteries eventually, but so far, I haven't found anything where they will fit. You have to have pairs of batteries: One dummy battery and one 3.7 volt rechargeable lithium battery. If you have four batteries, you need two dummy batteries - doesn't matter what order you put them.

Works exactly as expected.
It's a dummy battery. It's job is simple and this preforms that job very well.

I just cut away some of this plastic with an xacto knife and it's fine.
Works as expected. The only issue is that there is a bit too much of the plastic wrapping on the bottom, so only a small circle is exposed, whereas a real battery has almost the entire bottom exposed. This can make connections off a bit if not totally centered. I just cut away some of this plastic with an xacto knife and it's fine.

Great price for a required item
My handheld CB that I purchased on EBay came without these required “Dummy Batteries” the CB would operate on 10 rechargeable AA batteries, but only needed 8 of the alkaline batteries, so it should have had 2 of these dummy batteries to operate at the proper voltage! These dummies were lost, so I needed to buy them to operate my handheld CB without over powering them. Great product delivered quickly at a great price. No one else sells these items that I did not know that I needed?? Great price & thank you!!!!

Perfect to use rechargeables... here is some info:
Perfect "batteries" to take the place of same sized actual batteries to enable you to use Li-Ion and Li-FePo4 replacements. Many remotes and other devices run on about 3 volts and are set up to use 2 non-rechargeable batteries of 1.5 volts apiece in series to supply the 3 volts. Li-Ion and Li-FePo4 batteries are slightly more than 3 volts for a SINGLE battery. Thus, one Li-Ion or Li-FePo4 battery will easily power a device that is set up to use 2 non-rechargeable batteries. But what do you do about the other slot where a battery is supposed to go in your device??? You could run a jumper wire across and solder it... but that requires some real time and effort. Putting a dummy battery works just fine. If you understand the difference between batteries in "series" and "parallel" this should all make sense to you. If not, you might read up on it. But if your device uses 2 or 4 batteries and they are either put in end to end, or are alongside each other facing opposite directions, then they are probably wired in series and you can use a half and half mix of these and rechargeable Li-Ion or Li-FePo4 batteries to run it.

Appears very well made and reasonably priced, works well for my purpose and I am pleased.
Appears very well made and reasonably priced. What can I say? These work well converting two 1.5V AA size Alkaline batteries to one 3.7V AA size Rechargeable Lithium and the Dummy in an LED flashlight. Might not work in other items or even damage them. Check your device specifications or consult with a friend who has a degree in Electrical Engineering first.

Fantastic. They do EXACTLY what they are supposed to do.
Fantastic. They do EXACTLY what they are supposed to do.I use them in an aroma therapy blower that used 2 AA batteries. This makes the aroma too strong, so I replaced 1 battery with this blank and it is working perfectly. The fan spins much slower so the aroma isn't too strong.I can use them in my bathroom when guests are over and keep it turned on without the aroma getting to strong. The only issue with using only 1 battery is the LED doesn't light up. I was hoping it would light, but because of the voltage drop, I wasn't expecting it.Great Product
